⭐Chapter 2: The Knock of Confrontation

The engagement hall buzzed with excitement, the air thick with celebration and anticipation. Yet, in the middle of the crowd, drama unfolded that no one could have predicted.

Anushka Arora, a renowned actress from the industry, suddenly grabbed Abhay Shrivastav Vyas's hand in front of everyone and dragged him away. Flashing cameras captured every second, but even the bright lights couldn't dim the tension of that moment.

Once they were a few steps away, Abhay jerked his hand free, his eyes blazing.

Abhay (angrily): "What is this insolence, Anushka? Why did you pull me out here, and in front of everyone?"

Anushka smirked, a playful glint in her eyes.

Anushka (teasing): "Oh, my darling! I had to save you… from that girl."

Abhay blinked in disbelief.

Abhay: "What? Are you serious?"

Anushka (waving her hands dramatically):

"Listen, Abhay. Is she really… up to your standards? Why don't you get engaged to me instead? I'm an actress, a name in the industry. Class, fame… everything! And seriously, who even does arranged marriages these days?"

Abhay's eyes burned with anger.

Abhay: "Stop it, Anushka! You don't know anything about the girl you're talking about."

Anushka laughed softly.

Anushka: "Then tell me, what's so special about her?"

Abhay straightened, pride in his tone.

Abhay: "She is Miss Priya Singh Rajput. Owner of the Rajputana Group of Industries. Ten factories. Yet she left her CEO chair to become an Indian Police Service officer. Dedicated beyond measure. And this engagement? I am choosing it for myself."

Anushka arched a brow, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

Anushka: "Giving her so much respect… as if she's a goddess."

Abhay's tone hardened.

Abhay: "Listen carefully, Miss Anushka Arora. She deserves respect. And what you did today—grabbing my hand and dragging me—never repeat it. She is nothing like other girls. She doesn't scream, she doesn't seek revenge like them… but her way of dealing with people is different. And one thing—remember it, or you will regret it."

With that, Abhay left her standing there, furious.

Anushka muttered under her breath, eyes flashing with a mix of anger and determination.

Anushka: "She got me rejected for Priya? Just wait… I won't let this go."

The Engagement Evening

When Abhay returned to the hall, all eyes were on him. Curiosity and subtle concern clouded the faces of the guests.

Abhay's father: "What happened, son? Was it serious?"

Abhay (composed): "Nothing, Dad. Just a discussion with a client."

But little did Anushka know… this "client" was far more important than she could imagine.

Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for: Abhay and Priya's engagement.

On the stage, they exchanged rings. Applause erupted, filling the hall with joy.

Yet Abhay noticed something.

Priya's face was calm, perfectly composed, but her eyes held a trace of moisture.

She smiled—but it wasn't from her heart.

Abhay sensed it immediately—something was off.

(Internal thought)

Has she discovered Anushka's stunt? Or is there something else troubling her?

Cliffhanger Ending

As the evening drew to a close, Priya suddenly walked away without a word.

From a quiet corner, Anushka watched. Her eyes gleamed with scheming fire.

Anushka (whispering to herself):

"This engagement won't last long, Miss Rajputana. Just wait."

Questions Linger

Has Priya discovered the truth?

What will Anushka's next move be?

Will misunderstandings grow between Abhay and Priya?

And Priya… is she just an Indian Police Service officer, or does her story hide deeper secrets?
