Chapter 13 - Chapter 13 The First Moments After

Narrator (the voice of an ancient god, deep, heavy, as if echoing from the earth):

"Ten centuries have passed since the Fire God's last breath…"

"Ten centuries of silence, ashes, and oblivion."

"But the world has not learned — the flame never dies."

The camera pans down to the northern front.

The sky is gray, the wind carries ashes, and the earth — soaked in blood.

On the horizon, the burnt flag of the Fire Nation flutters among the snow and smoke.

The bodies of soldiers lie scattered, and among them — the body of Captain Minato Dalis.

His hand still clutches his sword, his face calm, almost serene.

His blood stains the snow red.

From a distance, only a woman's sob can be heard…

Nia's scream, heartbreaking, painful, tearing the sky apart:

"MINATOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"

The echo of that voice travels through the front, through the forest, through the mountains — and reaches one man.

Arden.

He stands among the rubble, holding a katana covered in blood.

There are no tears in his eyes. Only darkness. Just emptiness.

His body trembles.

His scar—that cut over his left eye—burns like lava.

And the heart...beats as if someone outside is waking it up.

As if something old, buried, is trying to come back.

Narrator:

"When the brother fell, the warrior's heart died…but something else awoke."

"The pain was too much. The soul too broken."

"And then… the ancient God, forgotten by all, opened his eyes."

Black clouds cover the sky.

The wind stops.

The entire front sinks into silence.

And then, from Arden's scar, black fire bursts forth—thick, alive, pulsing like a heart.

The ground beneath him cracks, and ash floats in the air.His eyes are burning—one blazing red, the other black as night.

The Dominion Voltaris army retreats—but in vain.

Over the next few hours, Vex's katana devours everything in its path.

2,387 soldiers fall under its flames.

Narrator:

"And then Dominion Voltaris saw for the first time what the wrath of the Fire Nation meant."

"They saw the face of vengeance… a face without a heart."

"They saw Vex."

Final shot — Arden stands on the battlefield, surrounded by flames that curl around him like a living thing.

In the sky a burning symbol — RA — written in fire flickers above the clouds.

Narrator (quietly, almost in a whisper):

"And after ten centuries, the God of Fire breathed again."

Arden stands tall, katana in hand, looking toward the smoke still billowing over the field. The scar over the left eye shines a little — a black furrow in which, like a living wound, the old sign is visible: RA.

Rin, Taro and Lyra approach quietly. All the words have already been spoken in their heads—but none strong enough to fill the void.

Arden looks down at the scar and looks straight at them, his eyes as cold as ice, but there's something in his voice that shouldn't—a threat turned into a promise:

"I heard your cry, Minato," he says slowly, each syllable a blow. "I heard your heart stop. Now I will speak for you."

Lyra shuddered, her voice breaking, "Arden…don't let that hatred consume you. That power…can save us—but also destroy us."

He laughed softly, without warmth. His hand gripped the hilt of the katana so hard that his veins fluttered.

"I'm not talking about rescue," he answered coldly. "It speaks of vengeance. That power within me—that which has been awakened—will not stand idly by until Dominion Voltaris feels the flames of Pyr. I will use it. I will burn Dominion Voltaris to the core. Every city, every flag, every shame they have burdened us with."

Taro clenched his fist, his eyes shining, "We're coming with you. We're not leaving you alone."

Silently, Rin drew her knife and placed it next to Arden's katana—a sign of alliance. "If you go, we stand with you," he whispered.

Lyra moved closer, placed her palm on his shoulder. Her words are soft, urgent, "Arden… use that power wisely. Burn them if you must. But remember—every fire that burns unchecked leaves ashes that will cover us too. I don't want to lose you."

Arden looked into her eyes, for the first time it was as if something fragile broke through the ice. His voice, however, remains bare and determined:

"I ask no forgiveness. I ask that no one breathes the shame with which they slaughtered us again. The Voltaris Dominion will know my name. And when it's over—if this power consumes me, so be it. But while I have breath—I will fire every flame for Minato."

A black cloud flickered above them, and the RA scar on his face flashed like an oath in the night.
