Chapter 10 - Chapter 10 (+17)

  "It's so hot..."

On the streets of New York, Catherine, dressed only in a sweater, took it off without thinking twice.

"Kate, are you still hot?" Lily joked from the side.

"Yes, but can't I take off more?" She was only wearing a white shirt underneath.

  "It's okay, take it off."

She removed Catherine's clothes, leaving her upper body exposed.

  "Ouch!"

Everyone around her looked at her.

Then she realized they were all men, and none of them were wearing clothes!

  "Ah!"

  Catherine fell off the bed.

"What kind of dream is this?"

She shook her head, took a step back as the group of men approached, and fell off the bed.

Then she noticed that one of their hands had already lifted her nightgown.

"Kate! It's time to get up, it'll take me several hours to get to Greer!"

Catherine usually went back to school on Sunday nights, but yesterday she stayed home writing Harry Potter all day. The Order of the Phoenix, the Goblet of Fire, the Deathly Hallows...

Hey, she still had a lot of work to do!

  "Okay!"

She prepared to get up, only to discover that her other hand, which had been immobilized, was also inside her, covered in an unidentified liquid.

  "Could it be..."

She jumped up, but her chest hit the edge of the bed, causing her sharp pain.

  "Oof..."

  She turned pale with pain.

  "What's wrong?"

Emma heard Catherine's cry and rushed in.

  "It hurts..."

  She was gasping for breath.

  "Where? Kate?"

Emma approached her worriedly and saw Catherine gently pressing her flat chest.

  Emma suddenly understood.

"Bruce! Call Kate's teacher... and tell her that Kate won't be able to go to school for the next few days!"

"Huh?!" Catherine looked at her mother in astonishment.

  "Kate, let go of me."

"Oh..."

Catherine was a little confused, but she obeyed.

Emma pressed her fingers against Kate's chest, and Catherine felt something inside her that caused her unbearable pain.

Looking down, she saw Emma looking at her with a half-smile.

"Well, Kate, go change your clothes, we're going shopping."

"What's going on, Mom?" Catherine looked at her mother curiously.

"Sure, we're going to buy bras, and maybe we should buy pads too..."

Instantly, Catherine's mouth formed an "o."

That's right, she was starting to develop. Catherine realized it immediately.

At twelve years old, her development was obviously relatively slow, and now, finally, she had entered a physiological process that all girls, or rather, all children go through: puberty.

"Damn it...! No way! No way!"

  she shouted in panic.

"Honey, puberty isn't a terrible thing, it's one of the most beautiful times of life."

  Emma gently stroked Catherine's head.

  "Oh... my God... Oh..."

She shook her head, somewhat incredulous.

"Kate, change your clothes first. Make sure you choose loose-fitting clothes, otherwise it will affect the development of your breasts."

Although ballet has requirements regarding breast size, Emma was clearly more concerned about her daughter's physical needs.

"I'll also contact SAS and tell them to be careful..." Emma muttered as she left, leaving Catherine looking glum.

After washing up, Emma began to instruct Catherine on the things she needed to pay attention to.

"Kate, remember to put a towel on your breasts before going to bed. The lumps should disappear in about two weeks. But be careful not to eat spicy food during this period and remember to wear a bra, otherwise they may sag later. If you feel that your bra is too tight, measure your size; that's probably when you need to change it."

"Mom," Catherine looked at her pitifully.

  "What's wrong?"

  "I... can I not go?"

Emma looked at Catherine's reddened face and knew she was shy.

"Okay, but just this once. Next time you have to go alone, understand?"

Catherine finally breathed a sigh of relief.

  "Well, take off your nightgown."

Emma took out the measuring tape.

Catherine took off her clothes and noticed that her breasts looked different. They seemed to have turned into buds, or like delicious desserts, making her want to bite into them.

With the tape measure against her chest, Catherine suddenly discovered a sensation she had never experienced before, a sensation that seemed to spread throughout her body. But by then, Emma had already placed the tape measure underneath.

"Do you already have an A, Kate? Haven't you noticed?"

  Catherine shook her head innocently.

"Well, I'm leaving." Emma picked up her bag, went outside, and got into her family's car.

Watching her mother leave, Catherine sighed.

She lay back on the bed and stared absently at the ceiling.

  Suddenly, she remembered that dream.

  "What... will happen next?"

Suddenly, she remembered the countless "romantic thriller" novels she had read in her past life. The heroines in those novels seemed... very happy...

  What exactly was that feeling?

She had once experienced a feeling of bliss.

  But...

the sinful hand reached out again, and this was the first time she had done so while sober.

  "Ring... ring..."

But a phone call suddenly broke the morning's tranquility.

"Hello, this is Edson." Bruce answered the phone.

Catherine took a deep breath.

"Oh."

  Finally, she sighed again.

She had completely forgotten that her father was still at home.

"Oh, okay, I should ask about the company."

She left the room just as Bruce hung up the phone.

  "Honey, what's going on?"

"Dad, I wrote a novel and won $50,000. I plan to start a clothing design company with a classmate."

Bruce's mouth, like Catherine's at first, formed an "o."

Catherine suddenly remembered that Bruce seemed to know about her novel.

But hadn't Emma said she would tell him?

Clearly, she had forgotten.

"What did you say?"

Bruce looked at Catherine, thinking he had heard wrong.
