Chapter 4 - Chapter 3: A Natural Porter

After feeling a slight fatigue in her body, Shiki understood why.

She was still too weak; her mental strength couldn't support the immense pressure of browsing the Ley Line, which was why she withdrew from it.

As for the "hole" she saw on the brink of death...

Shiki shook her head, no longer thinking about the "hole." She decided to focus on how to master Mushin Style first, and then try to learn the sword art of that Oni youth.

The Oni youth's opponent was a Tengu, but there were no Tengu in Konda Village. The only known Tengu was still in Tenshukaku.

But if there were no Tengu, there were birds!

Inazuma was an island nation, and seabirds were everywhere, so she wouldn't have trouble finding them, right?

After returning to Tejima's home, Shiki carefully considered ways to earn Mora.

In Teyvat, not having Mora was absolutely out of the question, because it was not only currency but also an excellent alchemy material.

Mora contained the divine power of the Geo Archon, which was why seven nations used only one currency.

Most importantly, Shiki wanted to repair the white furisode kimono. It was one of only three items she brought from Earth, and its significance was immense.

But where the money to repair it would come from became a problem. She couldn't just go to the Adventurers' Guild every day to fight against the stars and the abyss, could she? Then when would she practice her sword?

'Right, I remember novels seem to be very popular in Inazuma, don't they? Maybe I should just be a natural porter.'

During daily commissions, there was always a novelist and his editor bickering in Inazuma City, and Yae Miko also loved reading novels.

Since that was the case, she had to think carefully about which one to plagiarize. It would be best if the background style also fit Inazuma's culture, so Inazuma residents could have a good sense of immersion.

'How about... writing Bleach? A seemingly ordinary girl and a spirit girl, along with his cheat-like strength that keeps increasing, should be very popular, right?'

Most importantly, she had just rewatched it before transmigrating, so she remembered it quite clearly.

Thinking of this, Shiki took out paper and pen and wrote down the beginning of the story.

Of course, she didn't use "Bleach" as the novel's title, but "Faded."

The true arc of Bleach was Ichigo Kurosaki gradually discovering the truth of his origins, like an object constantly fading its outer colors, ultimately revealing its true appearance.

Moreover, there were gods in this world. Naming the book "Bleach" just felt... emmmm.

After writing furiously for several hours, Shiki finally finished the opening story, from Ichigo Kurosaki being attacked and gaining Shinigami powers to his battle with Uryuu Ishida.

The next day, she would go to Inazuma City and submit the first draft to Yae Publishing House. She believed she wouldn't have to worry about Mora anymore.

The story of Bleach truly became exciting from the Soul Society arc onwards. Shiki would appropriately cut some plotlines to make the overall experience more enjoyable.

Early the next morning, Shiki spoke with Tejima.

"What? You're going to Inazuma City?"

"Yes, I want to repair my kimono, but I don't have Mora, so I thought of writing a novel to earn some money," Shiki said, nodding.

"I see. It takes half a day to get from Konda Village to Inazuma City, and there are monsters along the way. I'll go with you!" Tejima said after thinking.

"Great, great!"

'Perfect, I'll activate a waypoint along the way.'

When she activated the Konda Village waypoint last night, the Ley Line gave her a map of Narukami Island's waypoint distribution, and there was one on the way from Konda Village to Inazuma City.

"So, that thing that suddenly floated up in the village, was it actually caused by you?" Tejima asked, looking at the slowly floating waypoint.

"Actually, I don't know what happened. It just lit up when I came to my senses," Shiki said with a smile.

She concealed her true situation. Currently, ordinary people couldn't use or even activate waypoints; her situation was very special.

Shiki only had some guesses about the specific reason, most likely related to that "hole."

The two didn't talk much about the waypoint, as Tejima also didn't know what it was, only that it had been in Konda Village for a long time.

The two continued their journey and finally arrived at Inazuma City near noon.

The game and reality were ultimately different. The huge cherry tree at the entrance gave Shiki a profound shock. She wondered what kind of scenery Grand Narukami Shrine truly held.

After asking a few passersby, Shiki learned the location of Yae Publishing House, which was similar to what was shown in the game. However, because reality was larger than the game, there were many shops along the streets that weren't in the game.

Upon arriving at Yae Publishing House, Kuroda's slightly plump figure appeared before Shiki.

"Hello, miss, are you here to buy books?" Kuroda asked with a smile.

"No, I'm here to submit a manuscript," Shiki said, taking out her manuscript. "This is the novel I want to submit, it's a long one, and its title is 'Faded.'"

"'Faded'? Is it a romance novel?"

Upon hearing the title and seeing the girl in front of him, Kuroda naturally thought of romance novels.

"No, it's about combat. So, can my book be submitted?" Shiki asked.

"That depends on whether our editor approves it. Also, it takes some time from printing to binding into a book. I recommend you continue writing for now, preferably finishing a small arc."

"The manuscript you gave me is still a bit short; it hasn't met the minimum requirements for binding into a book."

"As for the result, as long as your content isn't too outlandish, it should be approved."

Listening to Kuroda's explanation, Shiki suddenly remembered that this wasn't Earth; there was no internet. Writing and publishing online chapters like web novels was clearly unsuitable.

Shiki: "I understand. Thank you very much for clarifying."

Kuroda: "It's my duty. If you truly want to thank me, then write the story well."

Shiki: "I will, I will. Then I'll leave my manuscript with you for now. I'll bring new chapters in a week."

Kuroda: "No problem. Just fill in your personal information, and of course, the most important part, your pen name."

Shiki thought carefully upon hearing this, finally writing "Garan no Dou" in the pen name field.

After filling out the author information, Shiki continued deeper into Inazuma City. Tejima said he was going to find someone when they entered the city and was now nowhere to be seen.

However, they had agreed to meet under the largest cherry tree in the city's outskirts.

Before they parted, Tejima gave her some Mora, not much, but certainly enough for food.

But Shiki's goal now wasn't to eat, but to go to Ogura Shop.
