An hour had past, Leon was well rested and the two of them had checked out of the inn in order to restock on supplies. The people of Dundorma were nice to the two which made the purchases needed easier for them. Core came out of the Smithy and sat outside the front of his shop. He was covered in soot and sweat from standing over his forge for so long. The cool spring breeze cooling him off as he sees the two bouncing from stall to stall.
Vannes had a notepad and marked off the last thing, glancing up in time to see Core waving from where he had been sitting at. Vannes walks over with Leon introducing them both as they started to talk. Vannes stood back watching as his son seemed to have taken an interest in blacksmithing. After having talked for a while, Core stood up and apologized since he still had a lot to do.
Vannes and Leon left for the North East gate in order to continue their journey. The walls and gate itself were as massive as the one they had entered, the guards being Wyverians as tall as well.
The two continued their way to the east for hours which turned into days and encountering different varieties of monsters on their way.
A week had fully passed until they finally reached the Eastern Coast. Within the coast sat two civilizations which only one had been the closest. They walk slightly north east, walking into a small forest on the coast. Within the forest sat a grand pyramid with two tower like temples in front and to the side a dock with multiple different boats docked and leaving alike. Huts were sprawled out around the dock as trades from different regions made their rounds. A male Wyverian about as tall as Vannes himself wearing black robes walked over to the two.
"Welcome to the Pyramid of the Great Quetzalcobra. Is there anything we may assist you two with?" The Wyverain had asked. He glanced down, seeing his sword and shield.
"Actually yes. We are currently on our way to The Tower and need two tickets to cross the ocean" Vannes had been hoping to get there sooner in order to get away from the wild.
"Ah yes. We do have a ship that'll be traveling in that direction…. However, we've had word that a Ceadeus has been spotted in that direction." The Wyverian reached in under the top of his black robe. He pulled out 2 tickets and hands them to Vannes. "You are however in luck. These two tickets are a one way Rathian flight given out by The Tower and its guards. These should help you get there faster."
Vannes takes the two tickets and nods his head. "Thank you friend. We won't waste this opportunity you've given us." The Wyverian shook his hand before he walked away from the two.
Leon looks up to his father "Does this mean we can make it on time?" He asks his father.
"Of course. We need to find the flight master, whom I assume is near the docks." He reaches down and rubs Leon's head. "Come, let's have our first Rathian flight." He smiled. Leon's eyes had a hint of a sparkle. This would be indeed their first flight anywhere on a Wyvern.
The two walked through the small city u til they found the docks. Near the docks on the side of the road sat a hut with two Rathian's laying in the grass under a colossal tree. Inside the hut sat two wyverians in a silver like armor and gear like mail beneath, both weren't nearly as tall as the other guards they had seen.
"Excuse me, but is this the flight master's hut?" Vannes stood at the entrance seeing both of them glance over.
"The boss will be right back but yes. Did you two have tickets?" One of the armored guards stood up walking over. The armor moved seamlessly as he stepped closer. The other went back to sharpening a sword twice his size known as a Longsword.
"Yes. The Wyverian at the entrance had two extra tickets and we are currently traveling to the Tower" Vannes replied back.
A man walked back behind them right in time to hear the conversation. "I had heard a Ceadeus was stopping ships from leaving. Will one of you two make them? Sky Corridor is available to land and rest at from what I've heard."
The first guard scratched his head. "I hate going there but I can take them." He reached out to shake hands. "The names Ares. I'm a guard dispatched from the tower for these flights. My Rathian, Aqua, and I can take you as long as your packs aren't heavy."
Vannes shook Ares' hand "No this is all we brought with us. The name is Vannes, and this is my son Leon. It would be an honor to have someone like you take us there."
Ares noticed the sword and shield but stayed silent. "Once Aqua is awake, I'll grab my things and get her set up. She can tend to be moody if I wake her too soon." He chuckled softly. "Bad enough I have to keep her away from the others."
Vannes noticed the two prior but was ember more curious.
"There's an inn across the way if you two would like to relax before we leave" The flight master behind them spoke softly. "I can show you if you wish."
"Please do. We could take some time to recover from all of the encounters we've had the past week…" the flight master escorts them to the inn while the two guards sat in the hut still.
"Not very peoplego to the tower now a days. I wonder if the fathers a researcher or scientist." The one polishing his sword said softly."
Ares sat back down next to him, reaching over to a monstrous rifle like gun, folding it and sliding ammo into it. "He strikes me as both, but researcher first in my opinion." Ares sighs. "Sky Corridor always gives me the creeps."
