Morning followed.The sun rose and spread its rays to the vegetation around me,giving off a brilliant sight.
Despite the serenity displayed,I didn't sleep a wink for the whole night. My eyes were in red and sleep bags could be seen on my face.However,it didn't matter to me.
I let out a small shout.
"Yeeeesss!"
Finally,after all thus time of hearing stories of the supernatural from my childhood,I had finally attained that supernatural like ability. The new stories I could make and possibilities I could create were endless now. Like a child who had had their life long wishes fulfilled,I couldn't help but run around the ever green fields of grass as I was thinking of the things I could do. Even while running around like a fool,I knew no one would truly blame because anyone would be happy if they were in my shoes.
Haven't we all ever thought of what we would do as children with newly found powers? We've all thought that so I was obviously excited to showcase them to the world. Who knows,maybe I could be some kind of chosen hero and be forever depicted as a world known figure.
"Huh? Why don't I remember much about my life before.It feels a little like a blur.Is it a side effect of the reincarnation?"
I stopped in my tracks. My head was ringing a little when I tried to remember it.
However,I had to put that situation on hold.I started hearing some footsteps and murmurs some distance from me.
Little did I know the effect they would bring me in the future.They weren't many;maybe a hundred with about ten who were a part of those who helped in changing my life drastically.
They came closer and closer,eventually reaching close to the tree where I was resting near for the night.
"Let's go guys. We have to hurry up. You all know we can't stay out for too long,right?"said the one in charge.
He was a dark haired man with red pupils.He looked like in his mid teens;maybe around 15 to 16 years old.
The people in front of me were around ten in number,each in different clothes but they all looked over worn,their hairs and nails were unkempt and their bodies covered in dust.
Just then,a crazed boar came out of some bushes nearby.It was about two and half meters tall.It charged crazily towards the group with full speed.
"Krrrrrrrh!"
Just from the size,I knew it was a formidable opponent.
"I didn't think I would come to see some people killed today. This is already staring to feel like an adventure now,"I said to myself.
As I turned to my head away,I let out a small sigh."At least they will provide some sort of entertainment before I know what I'll do next."
The opponent was strong and big while on the other hand,the people there were looking thin and just as young as me.Looking at the situation Just as it is,the results were obvious. At most,they would sacrifice a majority of the group to take it down leading to massive casualties. It just felt pitiful for me to imagine let alone watch.
Just then,as I was about to look the other way,I saw a wave of light from their direction.
They,on one hand, stretched out their hand while the other half readied their spears as they waited for the signal.
At the tips of their palm were spheres of fire which were then directed to the boar.Their condensed and were launched almost simultaneously together. The spearman and women alike quickly followed and were just behind the fireballs in speed.
The moment the fireballs came into contact with the boar,they immediately ignited,setting it ablaze.
"Aaaaaaah!"
Not missing the chance,they quickly thrust their spears into the wild boar from all sides. It struggled a little before eventually falling down on the ground,lifeless.
"It's already dead?!"
It all happened so fast that I could barely believe it.They didn't spare a single moment to quickly put it down.
"Would I have survived if I were to fight all ten of them at once?"
Even I didn't want to answer,I already knew it. The result would have been obvious.
As I tried to rise up from the ground and quietly get away from there,a feeling off exhaustion got to me.
"Is the exhaustion really getting to me now?!"
I hadn't rested for a long time. Considering I hadn't slept let alone ate from even before I got here because of the constant chasing I faced,it wouldn't come as a surprise it came to hit me back eventually.
"But why now of all times?"I said as I felt my eyes gradually close in on themselves.
The next thing I knew,I had already fallen asleep as I hit the ground with a soft thud.
As they were handling their boar meat,one of the members of the group,a pink haired girl,slowly looked around.Her sharp pointed ears twitched,adjusting itself a little like an antenna.
Slowly but surely,she got closer and closer. Eventually,the sight that greeted her was a certain average looking man around her age flat on the ground.
"Huh?That's weird.I didn't think know there was another one that I didn't know of that secretly followed us. He looks a bit weird. What's up with that strange hair colour. Is he a new breed or something?"
Just then,a green haired guy came up from behind her and asked,"Who is this?"
"I don't know.We won't know unless we ask now,won't we."
She kicked me in the stomach,hard,and quickly woke me up.
"Aaaaah!"
I felt like throwing up. Unfortunately I didn't eat anything so nothing came up but saliva.Still it was repulsive.
"What a shitty way of waking up!"I grumbled to myself in anger.
"Hey!"
She quickly shouted.
Looking up,I was met by the sight of the very people I had hoped to ignore.
