Chapter 8 - Chapter 8

"Interesting!"

Tsunade's big, adorable eyes were locked tightly onto Hatake Sora.

"Who are you?"

"Hatake Sora."

"That's a really strange name."

Tsunade looked at him, smiling as she raised her fist. "But Hatake Sora, you should know—dealing with a guy like that, I didn't need your help at all!"

Hatake Sora nodded calmly. "I know. I wasn't here to help you."

"Oh?"

Tsunade looked genuinely surprised.

"I'm here to challenge you."

Hatake Sora tossed aside the pebble in his hand. His wrist shifted slightly, and the time-space kunai slid quietly down from his sleeve.

"Challenge me?!"

Seeing the kunai in Hatake Sora's hand, Tsunade narrowed her eyes and raised her own fist, a ferocious grin spreading across her face.

"Ever since I started school, no one's dared to challenge me!"

It looked as if a great battle was about to erupt at any moment!

"No, no, no—you've misunderstood!"

Hatake Sora suddenly waved his hand. From his pocket, he pulled out a square chunk of stone and lightly carved several dots into it with his kunai.

"This is a die."

As he spoke, Hatake Sora pulled out a stack of leaves from another pocket.

"And these are leaf cards!"

"I'm going to use these to defeat you."

Hatake Sora chuckled. "They're all very interesting little things."

Seeing Hatake Sora put the kunai away, Tsunade didn't really mind. Beating up Little Dried Fish earlier had already been satisfying enough.

What truly caught her attention were these novel little items.

She couldn't explain why—but they seemed to have a natural, irresistible pull on her.

"What are those?"

Little Tsunade craned her neck curiously, completely forgetting about everything else.

"Hooked."

Hatake Sora couldn't stop the corner of his mouth from curling upward.

From the moment he received this quest, he had already understood something clearly—trying to defeat the Senju clan's princess through brute force was nothing more than a fool's dream.

So…

He had no choice but to resort to this method—to lure the legendary "big fat sheep" Tsunade onto the irreversible road of gambling ahead of time!

Ten minutes later, Hatake Sora released his hand.

The crude die rolled lightly across the ground before finally coming to a steady stop.

"Two!"

"Hahahaha! You're done for this round!"

Tsunade picked up the die and burst into laughter. In just this short time, she had already lost tens of thousands of ryō. This round, she was finally going to win it back.

As she spoke, Tsunade confidently tossed the die out.

"Clatter, clatter…"

The die rolled gently across the ground.

Tsunade was full of confidence. Having been taught by countless powerful figures since childhood, controlling a die to land on six was ridiculously easy for her.

Sure enough, the die slowly came to a stop.

And the number facing up was indeed six.

Seeing this, Tsunade's lips curved upward in satisfaction.

But just then—

A strange, faint breeze suddenly blew past…

"Clatter…"

Under the influence of that breeze, the die rolled ever so slightly again.

"One!"

"How is that possible?!"

Tsunade collapsed onto the ground in shock, her soft, adorable face filled with disbelief.

Just as expected!

Hatake Sora smiled as he picked up the die and extended his hand toward Tsunade.

"Lady Tsunade, then I'll be leaving this matter in your hands."

Besides money, Hatake Sora had also gambled for some… rather interesting conditions.

Tsunade slapped his hand away irritably. "I know, I know! You little brat—your luck is way too good! Winning against this princess so many times…"

This wasn't Hatake Sora being lucky at all.

It was clearly her luck that was terrible…

As she spoke, Tsunade scratched her head in frustration. "But that old Second Grandpa definitely won't agree. Looks like I'll have to go find First Grandpa instead."

"First Grandpa?"

Hatake Sora's eyes widened.

If he remembered correctly, Tsunade's Second Grandpa was the Second Hokage—Senju Tobirama.

Which meant her First Grandpa was—

The man revered as the God of Shinobi.

Senju Hashirama.

Was Senju Hashirama… still alive?
