Chapter 8 - The Sun, Moon and Stars Squad

he tension was palpable. Sorcerers from the Fujiwara Clan were once more trying to kill me, which was unsurprising. One would've thought that by this point, they'd have given up. It seemed I would need to be more heavy-handed to get the message across.

I could use this as an opportunity to do just that. The Sun, Moon, and Stars Squad, the naked sorceress called her group. Probably an assassin team, a very big team, by my estimates. I was counting and sensing over a hundred sorcerers.

I kept my lower hands, making a hand sign with each. Even if they were a hundred, I was sure I could kill them all by myself, but that would be a waste. Glancing back at Uraume, an idea began to form. Uraume was strong, there was no doubt about it, and although he would never reach my level, with my training, I was sure that he was already one of the, if not the strongest, Grade 1 sorcerer, and had the potential to eventually become Special grade.

He already had the training and some technique. All that he needed was combat experience to put to the test his training and help polish and refine that technique.

Two birds. One stone.

Cursed energy flooded across the forest. Their attempt at matching my Cursed Energy was laughable; even combined, they could not produce an output as strong as mine. With my enhanced vision, I could see many trembling and sweating; the only few that were holding themselves together were the sorceress and some around her. Those were probably the strongest or most experienced of the squad. Both, most likely.

The seconds seemed to stretch; no one made a single move, and no sound could no longer be heard.

With a fast tap of my foot, I sent a signal to Uraume. He instantly moved, and seeing my movement, so did everyone else; however, he was slightly faster, and that was all that mattered.

Most sorcerers rushed at us, some sent their cursed techniques, or any cursed objects or projectiles, but the pink-eyed sorceress and her entourage jumped away.

They were the smartest.

Yet Uraume moved into a kneeling position. And for good reason.

"Dismantle: Net"

The first thing to be cut into pieces was the cursed objects. The second were the techniques and sorcerers that rushed into combat. And the third were those that weren't fast enough to dodge.

Red lines began to spread across the bodies of more than half of the sorcerers, and their comrades looked on in shock as they fell apart, cut into meat cubes before they had the chance to react.

I had developed that technique specifically for a situation like this one; omnidirectional Dismantles that cut everything as if they had gone through a net of thin wire, the only way I could think someone could survive was by jumping over it, having your body reinforced, or perfectly timed RCT.

"Uraume, deal with the weaker ones," I told him as he stood from his kneeling position. "I'll deal with the strongest ones."

"Hai, Sukuna-sama," he responded before leaping at the nearest sorcerer, who looked disoriented. I saw him send a gut punch at the sorcerer, and as said sorcerer went to block, an ice spear spawned from the floor and gutted him. Yeah, Uraume had this.

I tilted my head slightly as a punch flew by just where my head had been. The sorcerer who attacked me was unremarkable; his face was covered, his clothing looked like what typical ninja clothing would be, black, tight-fitting robes. He had jumped to attack me from my blind side, and I could only see his black eyes widening as I reared my top right arm back for a devastating punch.

As I threw it, the nude sorceress appeared above him. She seemed to grab hold of something that I couldn't see and pulled. To my surprise, my arm twisted and elongated, missing the first sorcerer.

I jumped back, not knowing the effects of that cursed technique. As I landed, I glanced at my arm, and it looked fine. I moved around to see if anything was amiss. Everything worked as it should. A group of five sorcerers tried to capitalize on my retreat; they jumped down from the trees behind me and tried to surround me.

"Dismantle." I didn't even look as I swiped my arm at them. They were reduced to meat chunks before they even landed.

Instead, I looked back at the sorceress and barely got a glimpse of how the air 'fixed' itself, if that was an apt description.

"Interesting technique," I commented curiously to myself, but I was heard.

"Of course, my cursed technique allows me to bend the sky itself and everything in it," as if to demonstrate I watched baffled as one of her comrades jumped above her and attacked her with a streak of lightning, but before it could hit her, she reached in the direction it was coming from and pulled again.

The air distorted and looked as if everything around her was made of paper, and she just grabbed it. The lightning strike, looking bigger and deadlier, was redirected and was now coming towards me. I quickly tried to dodge, but I felt a tingle on the back of my head before a loud noise suddenly hit my head. I felt my skull vibrate painfully, making me scream and be hit by the lightning.

"AGH," I shouted in pain, as I felt my muscles tense and my ears bleed. Reverse cursed technique quickly started repairing the damage, but before I was fully healed, another sonic attack hit me, making blood pour from my nostrils.

With my lower eyes, I scanned my surroundings. Whoever was using those sonic attacks had to be close, just as I saw someone hidden in the trees, the lightning user sent another streak of lightning that began darting around. I dodged backwards; however, the pink-eyed sorceress appeared behind me, her arms stretched and palms facing outwards towards me.

She began to say, "Thin Ic-"but before she made contact with my back, I somersaulted above her, spinning mid-air and kicking her away with my momentum. She went flying, grabbing hold of the 'air' to right herself.

As I landed, the tingling came back to my head, yet this time I heard something along with it. A whistle. A high-pitched noise rattled my head once more, blood came from my ears and nose once more, but I didn't care, because now I knew the trigger for this Cursed Technique and the technique itself.

A cursed technique that produced a high-pitched sound inside the enemy's head, quite possibly to make their brain mush with the vibrations. Yet the user had to whistle to use it, and the target could feel a tingle on their head before it came into effect.

"Lightning form: Kirin." My thoughts were interrupted as I turned to see the lightning sorcerer making a hand sign. Lightning began pouring from him, heading my way, while at the same time, the lightning began to take shape, and soon, a dragon head made of lightning was coming my way.

Not wasting any time, I ran straight at the attack, shocking all three of my opponents.

"Dismantle" with my two upper arms, I swiped at the lightning dragon, splitting it horizontally in half before it reformed as if nothing had happened, yet the attack wasn't my target. The black-clad sorcerer had to duck, the split on his attack the only warning he had as to the shape of my Dismantle, but behind him, every tree began to topple over, and from the trees a shape jumped out of them.

There you are fucker.

Leaning back to the ground, limbo style, I let the electric attack pass over me, before swiftly righting and launching myself at the sorcerer that had been hiding this whole time. Unlike his comrade, he is dressed in a dark green kimono without sleeves, obviously using it to better blend in with his surroundings.

My shadow looms over him, making him look up to me, and I feel some pleasure at seeing his eyes widen in fear. However, before I could descend on him, from the corner of my eye, I saw a glow get brighter.

Turning slightly, I see the lightning dragon's head heading my way, and behind it, I can make the shape of a floating figure.

The sorceress. A smug grin adorned her face as she once more redirected an attack towards me. Her technique was truly a pain to deal with.

This group of sorcerers is different from the previous ones that had attacked me. They had great synergy. The type you can only get after years of fighting side by side with someone.

I turn completely around and cross my arms, hoping to tank the attack, yet the temperature suddenly drops, and a giant ice pillar comes in between the attack and me. Looking down, I see sorcerers encased by the ice pillar, Uraume giving a quick nod before going after the next unfortunate soul. Cheeky brat, he used the attack to help me, even if I could've tanked it.

The pillar breaks into debris of ice as the attack makes contact. Using the opportunity, I use one of the bigger pieces of debris to launch myself down towards the sonic cursed user, said sorcerer had turned to face me, and began to whistle.

But he was too slow. Before he knew it, I landed in front of him, cracking the ground and shutting him up. He made a hand sign, and began to speak "DOMAI-", but before he could continue, I clamped shut his mouth with my upper left arm and broke his hands with my lower left one.

Not wasting any time, I lifted him and began beating him with my three free arms. Kidney, ribs, stomach, liver, every part of his torso became my punching bag.

Before his squadmates could get to him, I reared my right arm back and threw a punch with all my might, and as it made contact with him-

BLACK FLASH!

-black cursed energy manifested from my fist as it tore right through him, impaling him through his left lung and out of his back. Viscera flew out of his body from the hole I punched through him. His eyes were wide, full of disbelief. Hm, I chuckled, they really thought they would win. He twitched momentarily before going limp.

"Cleave," I turned his body into bloody mist, not taking the chances for him to be faking it and use reverse cursed technique at a later time.

I tried to analyze the feeling of the black flash, but I wasn't given the opportunity as the two remaining sorcerers landed behind me.

"Well, there goes one down," I smirked mockingly at them, flexing my bloodied arm to emphasize my point. "C'mon, don't leave me talking alone, don't be such a drag."

They didn't utter a single word; the only sound that could be heard was that of Uraume's fight. I could see some cold fog rise in the distance, but that was about it. Seeing the stubbornness of my opponents, I smiled wider.

"You stupid bitches didn't even introduce yourselves" I goated them as I pointed at the blood splatter on the floor. "Didn't even get to know the guy I just killed, though I suppose it."

"We are nameless, as our only purpose is to serve the Fujiwara Clan as their hidden blades, and our objective is you." It seemed I had touched a nerve as the ninja-like sorcerer finally spoke for the first time. "Our comrade died doing his duty, and now we must finish it."

"I'd like to see you try!" With my veins full of exhilaration, I issued my challenge.

In an instant, I coated my fists in cursed energy before dashing straight at the naked one.

Her eyes widened as I suddenly appeared in front of her, and she instinctively put her arms over her face, managing to block my punch from my upper arm…but not my lower one. As my cursed-infused fist makes contact, she spits out blood and is sent flying, crashing into several trees before stopping somewhere hundreds of feet away.

Her technique has been the biggest threat in this fight.

She calls her technique sky manipulation, but I know better. In this day and age which I have been reborn, the majority still believe the sun revolves around the Earth, they believe the stars are part of the sky and one only has to get high enough to touch them, but most importantly knowledge of space and time and the relation with the two are nonexistent.

I, who had lived in the 21st century, a time of technological progress, and a time when space-time had already been discussed many times in a century earlier, I could understand that what she was manipulating wasn't the 'sky', but space itself. Grabbing it and twisting it for her attack and defense, and disturbingly enough, her dress code.

I did not believe she had the strongest space-related technique. This could not be it. But how can I cut someone who controls space itself?

A problem to solve in the future.

Right now, I refocused my attention on the lightning curse user. As my gaze landed on him, he flinched slightly. Although I couldn't see his face, I knew he was afraid, and why wouldn't he be? I killed the majority of their squad in the first seconds of their attack. Killed some more during their three-person teamwork, killed one of said three-person team, and just sent the strongest of said team flying. Yet he never faltered, even when terrified, his resolve remained solid.

I could respect that. He would still die.

"No one to save you now," I launched myself at him, hoping to kill him while the sorceress recuperated. His reaction speed was better than the other two, possibly the result of having lightning as his cursed technique.

He dodged the two left fists I threw, countering by aiming his open palms at me, with lightning crackling on them, "Rakurai". I slap his hands away as he launches his attack, the attack grazing my side, but with almost no damage done to me.

Not stopping as his attacks miss, my eyes widen as a lightning strike is thrown at me from his face, hitting me point-blank on the chest, and scorching me slightly. His mask is burned completely as he closes his mouth, from where I can see some wisps of electricity dancing.

I take a stance, aiming my arms at him, and he takes a stretching position.

"Dismantle"

"Lightning vein: Chi"

We say at the same time.

My dismantle cuts the trees behind where he stood, but the black-clad sorcerer is gone.

A sound from behind me alerts me, I try to turn quickly, but a fist to the face stops pushes me back several feet. I looked to see where he punched me from, but once more, he wasn't there. The sound of crackling is heard from my right side. I move instantly, sending a Dismantle, but no one is there. A punch lands on the back of my head, making me take a bowing position.

The sorcerer moves in front of me, his feet visible from my bowing position, but I don't let him get a chance to follow up on more attacks. I place my hand on the dirt…

"Cleave: Crater"

Lines spread across the land in a 30-foot radius, before collapsing in on itself, taking the sorcerer by surprise and making him lose his balance, before we both begin to fall down the crater. I aim my arm at him and send a dismantle while taking notice of the changes to his body.

His body is glowing, with his clothing beginning to burn as his veins give an electric blue hue, yet I can see that burn marks are spreading across his arms and legs, reminiscent of the scars caused by lightning strikes. He is damaging himself.

He manages to dodge the dismantle, but I don't give him the chance to regain his balance; I use the collapsing rocks to zig-zag towards him. In a second, I'm in front of him, landing a powerful punch to his gut that erupts with black cursed energy.

BLACK FLASH!

As my second Black Flash lands, I feel my cursed energy flow more easily. And something deep inside me begins to take form, with some small feeling passing over my face and stomach.

Unlike the dead Sonic curse user, the ninja-style sorcerer doesn't die directly to it, and in fact, manages to stay conscious thanks to the electricity running through his veins. He takes the opportunity and grabs hold of my arm with both of his hands, surprising me.

As I'm about to send a cleave, his body begins to glow brighter, and my muscles lock and disrupting my flow of Cursed energy, which shocks me.

"Maximum technique: Susanoo," he says in a low voice, but I still manage to hear him. His glow intensifies, and cracks begin to form on his skin, lightning seemingly beginning to leak out of his body. As the sorcerer's grip tightens and recognizing the attack for what it is, a suicide attack, I have no option but to tank it and fortify my body with as much Cursed Energy as I can.

"Ryomen Sukuna," he says, his first and only words directed at me. His glowing eyes lock onto mine as he gives me a maniacal smile, "My name is Shin."

His body exploded, and a lightning dome began to expand outwards from his body. The explosion didn't last too long, only a few seconds, but the pain I suffered during that period was tremendous. My nerves were fried, my muscles spasmed uncontrollably, and burns spread across my body.

My right upper forearm was completely obliterated, as was my lower hand. I barely managed to keep the damage from completely cauterizing them into stumps.

Smoke rose around me, filling my nose with the smell of burnt grass and meat, and the ground of the crater turned into a charcoal black color from the attack. At my feet, all that was left of the sorcerer was an incinerated corpse with barely any muscle hanging on to its bones. His charred skull smirked at me, as if mocking me from beyond the grave.

"Crazy bastard," a chuckle escapes from my throat, as I give a smirk of my own at the charred body. "Shin, huh?" Bastard was willing to lay down his life if it meant he could kill me, normally I wouldn't even bother knowing the fuckers that tried to kill me, but for some reason it felt right to remember this one.

I looked at where my upper arm had been, and only half my arm remained, blood dripping from where the rest of the arm should be attached.

I begin to use reverse curse technique when I feel cursed energy appear behind me, and hands hover slightly over my back. My eyes widened in alarm, and I tried to turn around but-

"Thin Ice Breaker!"

-the sound of something breaking is heard over the battlefield as the bones of my spine crack, and I'm sent flying out of the crater. Blood flies out of my mouth as the air twists around me, as she rapidly closes the distance.

"You will pay for everything!" the leader of the Sun, Moon, and Stars Squad yells out, as she appears in front of me, rage the only expression on her face, as veins bulge in anger, blood dripping from her lips and nose.

"Thin Ice Breaker!" she screams again in rage, the space visibly breaking as if someone had hit a hammer through reality.

I feel my ribs crack as I'm sent back towards the ground, with the pink-eyed sorceress already advancing towards me at incredible speeds.

Well, I've had my fun, and I haven't heard or felt anything from Uraume, so he must've finished his fight. It was time to finish this.

Taking the opportunity the distance gives me, I get my energy under control, make two hand signs with my remaining hands, and begin to chant.

"Silence that dwells in truths…

I land, cracking the ground before quickly jumping back and avoiding the sorceress as her fist lands where I had just been.

"…cut lie from flesh…"

The sorceress manages to hear me, and her eyes widen in fright, before frantically attacking me in hopes of stopping me. I swiftly moved around her attacks, and when she tried to twist my direction with her technique, I accommodated my position to avoid her 'pull', after all, her technique was predictable by looking at her hands.

"…fate from bone…"

Her face is full of panic as she probably feels my chant reaching its end. She pulls her hands together in the position of her 'Thin Ice breaker', but it's too late.

"…Dismantle: Eminence Blade"

The air wasn't disturbed at all, as I had created that attack with the sole purpose of hitting only organic material, or more specifically, carbon-based lifeforms.

The land is scarred, in a straight line, the trees that once stood there are gone, as if a road had appeared in an instant, and in the distance, just a mile away, a small line could be seen marring the side of a mountain from its base to its peak.

In front of me, the sorceress dropped to a knee as blood flowed freely from where her right arm had been. Her entire right arm had been destroyed by my attack, along with her right leg from the knee down.

She panted heavily in pain, and sweat coated her form, but she didn't show it in her face; instead, she looked at me with rage and still some form of determination.

What could she possibly do- Ah, I realized. Yes, let's let her use it.

Bones grew from our incomplete limbs, quickly followed by muscle, tendons, veins, and finally skin. We looked as if we hadn't been battling for the last 20 minutes, but we both knew better.

She crossed her arms across her chest, cursed energy beginning to expand from her.

I smirked in anticipation.

"DOMAIN EXPANSION: HEAVEN-SLASHING CANOPY"

Her domain barrier rapidly expanded and surrounded me, swallowing me from the world. The environment of the domain was simple. It was the sky, blue and bright, yet there was no sun in sight. We were standing on a cloud; however, it felt as if I still were on the ground, very interesting.

"I WILL TAKE GREAT JOY IN THIS RYOMEN SUKUNA." She had utterly lost it; only revenge and anger filled her thoughts, her eyes looking somewhat crazed.

"Yes, but before that," I brought my lower hands together and performed a sign, and her anger and hatred were replaced by fear. Deep inside me, I felt something click, like a missing piece of a puzzle, and I spoke the name of my domain instinctively.

"Domain Expansion: Despondent Shrine"

Across my face, I felt the telltale feeling of the tattoos that covered my body appearing over my face, but what surprised me was the feeling of my stomach opening for some reason, whatever it didn't matter.

My voice echoes double as my domain completely overwrites hers with minimal effort. The sky becomes blood red, and the cloud we're standing on is replaced by a snowy ground, dead trees rise from below and surround us, and from behind me, a structure takes form. A familiar structure.

The shrine. The only home I had.

It looks better than I remember. The splintered wood now looks brand new, and the worn paper of the doors no longer looks like it's barely hanging on. Everything in the Shrine looks as if it were just built. Inside the shrine, there is only a table with a single candle on it, with the candle looking as if it had been recently extinguished.

It is my home.

But it feels different. The colors are muted. Gray. And surrounding the shrine are bodies. Some are complete, others don't have hands, limbs, or heads, as if they had been cleanly cut, and on their faces, on those that still have a head, no eyes can be found.

The only similarity they had was their body language. Tired. Resigned. Defeated.

The same body language that my enemy displayed as she dropped to her knees in defeat. A resigned expression set on her face, all emotion leaving her eyes.

Is this my Domain? I smile excitedly at what I see.

Exactly what I wanted to make my enemies feel at the thought of fighting me. Assured defeat. Fear. Powerless. Hopelessness.

I could kill her and be done with it. I can feel my domain just waiting to be used, but I think I have a better idea. My domain responded to my wishes and effortlessly carried them out.

Her arms and legs were turned to shreds so swiftly with some well-placed Cleaves she didn't even react to them, instead she unceremoniously dropped to the ground, as if she no longer had any emotion to give.

My domain dissipates as I cut its flow of cursed energy. I walk to the defeated sorceress, whose only tell that she is alive is her rising chest, and look down on her. Completely exhausted, she is no longer capable of covering (?) herself with her technique and is completely exposed. My eyes briefly look over her toned body, a result of her obvious dedication to Jujutsu, passing over her stomach and chest where I see brown for a moment, before I lock my four blood-red ones with her own black, pink ones.

I kneel beside her and place my hand on her stomach, producing Positive Curse Energy and injecting it into her, helping her regenerate her limbs, but without her fingers. She can heal them later herself.

"Why?" she croaked out from beneath me.

"Mm?" I looked into her empty eyes and raised my only eyebrow.

"Why didn't you kill me?" she elaborates her question, and I think it's a fair question, but I don't tell her that. "Why did you show me mercy? Why me?" she stresses on the me.

"If you think I had a change of heart or that I did it because you're a woman, get rid of such foolish notions," I answered without emotion. I stood up and admired my handywork on her regrown limbs. "I have use of you, or more specifically, a task."

Curiosity flashes through her eyes, before it quickly disappears again, but some spark can be seen back in them. "What's the task?"

My expression grows murderous, and I let some of my killing intent to spill forth "Tell your leaders in the Fujiwara Clan to leave me the fuck alone." My tone and expression make her flinch, but I don't let off.

"What?"

"I'm sick of all the sorcerers that keep trying to kill me under orders of that foolish clan," I continue, "Normal people learned that they could evade dying at my hands if they just minded their own business and left me alone, but the clan you serve seems to have a death wish for they keep on sending people to their deaths with the foolish notion that they can kill me."

I closed the distance between our faces, with only some inches apart.

"Tell them that the next time they send anyone, a sorcerer, an assassin, a person, hell it could be a goddamn dog, with the intention to kill me…" I brought forth ALL of my cursed energy, the pressure crushing and immobilizing her completely. "I will kill them all."

I stood back up and began to walk away. "So, they send someone and I get some training with them, they die, and then the clan, or nothing happens. Either way, I finally get some peace and quiet."

A wide, toothy smile splits my face as I look back at her. "Feel free to tell them to choose the first option, I really want to train my Domain."

She looks at me in shock, her fear and helplessness disappearing once it is clear I am not going to kill her.

"O-others will come, you know," she nervously begins, "even if I convince the elders to leave you in peace for a while, once the news spreads that you beat us, other groups from other clans will try to kill you for the prestige it would bring."

The information settles into my brain, and as I finish processing what she said, I cannot help but laugh. "HahahahahahaHAHAHAHA" I bring my laugh back under control, with a rogue chuckle escaping me. "Is that so? Well, some peace and quiet will have to wait, but I won't say no to training dummies volunteering for me to use my domain."

"Y-you're crazy," she lets out a weak, hysterical laugh, not being able to wrap her head around the contradiction that was me. And I could relate; I also didn't understand myself anymore.

I sought to live peacefully, yet at the same time, I welcomed conflict. In this fight, I had felt my blood boil like never before. I was honestly enjoying myself fighting to the death, and I was no longer sure if it was due to the body I had been reborn into, if the time period was finally getting to me, or if I just simply had always enjoyed a good fight to the death.

Something told me it probably was all of those cases.

Not to forget that I wasn't alone anymore, now I had a student, someone they could go after if I was too strong, however unlikely, since Uraume seldom left my side, and I was training him to become a beast of a sorcerer.

"Maybe I am," it was a chilling thought. But I didn't let it bother me too much. People change after all. As long as I kept to some of my morals, it was fine. It would be fine. "Well, hopefully we never see each other again."

I moved faster than she could follow and appeared next to Uraume, who had been waiting patiently close by.

His clothing was in tatters, all of his upper clothes were destroyed, revealing his well-muscled physique that he had gained thanks to my training. He had some dried blood on his forehead, mouth, chest, and especially on his knuckles.

He looked as calm as ever, but there was something in there. An emotion? As he bowed to my presence, I could tell that he looked pleased with himself. Ah, satisfaction. Pride.

And as I looked at some of the blood, there were spots where the blood didn't touch, as if it had originated from there.

He learned Reverse Curse Technique.

"Is this wise, Sukuna-sama?" he asked me, probably referring to leaving her alive.

"We only need one person if we want a message sent," I responded without breaking stride.

"If you required one person, I could've left someone alive for you, Sukuna-sama," He said, beginning to walk just one step behind me.

"Maybe," I said, not admitting that I had only thought of this at the end of my fight, "but it's more impactful if the messenger is the demoralized leader of their assassin squad."

"I see," was the only thing he said, and he didn't elaborate further.

As we walked away from the spot I left the sorceress, we entered into where Uraume had fought. How did I know? The air cooled down, and there was ice everywhere. I guess this was a good time to broach the subject of his recent development.

"I see you learned Reverse Curse Technique," I commented.

We walked past many frozen bodies, some were impaled by giant spikes of ice, others had ice spears made from their blood, and were skewering others. Brutal, yet creative, I bet no one saw that one coming.

"I did," he said as calmly as ever, but with a satisfied undertone.

I felt something grow inside me. It was-

"I'm proud of you," I said, turning to look directly at him.

-Pride. Pride in my student.

Huh, weird, it felt…good. As good as how I felt during my battle.

His eyes widened, some coloring appearing on his face. That was the first time I had seen Uraume blush since I met him.

Before long, he regained his bearings, and we finally left the battlefield behind us.

"Sukuna-sama," I look to see him glancing back to where he fought and all the bodies and destruction he left. "Do you think she is right?"

He meant about other groups, powerful ones, coming after us. After me.

"If they are smart, they won't," I easily answered his question.

"Yes, then?" he asks exasperated, already knowing the answer.

"Yes," I smirk at the thought. Indeed, everyone was either too prideful or a fool in this period. Usually both. But I wasn't complaining, I wanted to test the limits of my Domain now that I had finally formed it.

Before I could continue planning on how to train my domain, both of our stomachs grumbled in hunger, making us stop.

"Uraume," my words were spoken softly, "where are our supplies?"

"I believe they were destroyed during the altercation," he responded in the same tone.

Our stomachs grumbled again, and stronger this time.

We both turned back to look at the frozen bodies, the same thought passing through our brains.

"Fucking dammit" I muttered as we made our way back.

I didn't want to eat more human flesh than I really had to.

"I'll look for some spices, Sukuna-sama" Uraume said before he vanished, going to complete his self-given task.

"Yeah, you do that," I distractedly said back, resigned to my fate.
