Prolog

The world is not fair. That sentence kept echoing in Arkan's mind every time he looked around.

In the same corners of the city, two lives ran in parallel without ever truly meeting. Some were born with silver spoons in their mouths; others had to fight for every bite of rice with sweat and tears. Some smiled because their paths had been smoothed since birth; others cried even after running with all their strength.

"Hard work will pay off," they said. "As long as you try, you will succeed," others added.

But who were they? People who had everything from the start? Those who had never felt what it was like to work tirelessly and gain nothing? Those whose lives were already secured, whose failures would only become small lessons—never an abyss that swallowed an entire future?

Arkan stood on the rooftop of his old campus building, gazing at the city glittering in the distance. Skyscrapers rose high, luxury cars passed by, a beautiful life unfolding for some. Meanwhile, behind him, in narrow alleys, there were people still struggling just to eat today.

This is not a story about hope. This is a story about bitter reality—about how fate often plays a greater role than effort. About those who win without fighting, and those who lose even after giving everything.

Welcome to a world that isn't that beautiful.
