Chapter 331 - Chapter 331: Malekith's Decision

"Yes!"

Algrim nodded. He had also been highly surprised when he first learned of this intelligence.

The power of the Asgardian gods was famous throughout the universe. If Feny were an Asgardian, they would only think it was justifiable for him to have achieved these feats.

But upon hearing that Feny was a human from Midgard, they felt incredibly shocked.

"Midgard..."

Malekith showed a thoughtful expression and asked, "I remember that civilization hadn't even been born there yet?"

Malekith belonged to a race active during the era of Odin's father. Back then, humans on Earth should have still been living primitive lives, drinking blood and eating raw meat.

"A long time has passed; perhaps some changes have occurred!"

Algrim had no impression of Earth in his mind at all, but he knew that after sleeping for such a long time, it was natural for changes to happen in the outside world.

"The intelligence says his strength is extremely formidable, and that armor of his has exceedingly high defense. The power of his fire magic can slaughter ten thousand people in a single strike. Furthermore, aside from that Blue-Eyes White Dragon, he himself possesses a method of flight, and even space teleportation abilities."

Listening to Algrim's recount, Malekith's brow furrowed tightly. It would have been difficult enough to seize the Aether from Asgard in the first place, but Feny's strength made it feel like they had just unlocked hell mode.

"You've fought him. How do you assess his strength?"

Malekith looked at Algrim and asked. Algrim was currently the strongest force in his hands. If Algrim couldn't defeat Feny, it would be difficult to obtain the Aether.

Algrim didn't say who was stronger or weaker, but merely made a serious promise: "I will help you bring back the Aether!"

He had already begun the sacrifice, and his life had entered its final countdown. His strength would continue to grow unceasingly until his death. Therefore, even if he had to pay any price, he would defeat Feny and reclaim the Aether.

Malekith was somewhat touched. After pondering for a moment, he said, "We are going to Midgard. I need to know his weaknesses!"

...

Meanwhile, Feny didn't know that the Dark Elves had investigated his identity and were already preparing to head to Earth. On his way back, he suddenly remembered that he hadn't checked on Volstagg's injuries yet, so he diverted his path and arrived at the healing room.

Asgard's medical technology was highly advanced, a combination of magic and technology. So when Feny saw Volstagg, the warrior had already recovered most of his strength.

Looking at Volstagg lying on the hospital bed, Feny approached his bedside and asked, "How are you doing?"

Hearing Feny's words, Volstagg immediately replied with a dissatisfied face, "I feel like I could fight that guy again right now, but unfortunately they insist that I lie here!"

"Haha, I also think it's better for you to recover first!"

Feny couldn't help but laugh and comment.

Just then, the door to the ward opened, and Fandral and Sif walked in carrying some food. Upon seeing Feny, the two greeted him.

The four sat together, and couldn't help but start chatting about the earlier matter regarding the Dark Elves.

"How did you notice something was wrong with that guy at the time?"

Fandral looked at Feny curiously and asked. Algrim had been captured and brought back by the two of them personally. If Feny hadn't discovered the anomaly, the consequences might have been much worse than they were now.

Feny certainly wouldn't say that the original plot had told him, so he casually made up a lie: "Intuition, I guess!"

"Intuition!?"

Fandral showed a bewildered expression, seemingly not expecting this kind of answer.

"I thought the Dark Elves had all disappeared. I didn't expect them to still exist now," Sif added from the side. Although she hadn't engaged in the battle immediately, she had rushed over to provide support the moment she received the news.

"Yeah, I always thought they were just characters in stories too!"

Fandral agreed.

The three of them and Thor were all of the same generation, so their understanding of the Dark Elves was limited to the stories their parents told them when they were kids.

"I heard from Fandral that they actually came here for you this time?"

Sif looked at Feny and asked curiously, while Fandral also cast an inquiring gaze. Although he knew from the grand hall just now that the purpose of the Dark Elves' invasion was Feny, he didn't quite understand the specific, detailed reason.

Meeting their gazes, Feny didn't hide it either, casually explaining, "There's a weapon inside my body that is very important to them. They want to take it away, so they came looking for me!"

"A weapon!?"

"Inside your body?"

The two were even more surprised. Even Volstagg, who was eating food on the hospital bed, couldn't help but show an unexpected expression.

"Yes, a very troublesome thing!" Feny sighed. He casually tried to control the Aether to create a dark-red model of Mjolnir, holding it in his hand as he said, "But if those Dark Elves get it, it will be very dangerous for the Nine Realms!"

"What is this thing?"

Looking at the dark-red Aether in Feny's hand, Fandral couldn't help but reach out his hand to touch it. Feny was startled and quickly dodged away, drawing the Aether back into his body.

He then glared at Fandral and warned, "Don't touch it randomly, it's very dangerous!"

He still couldn't control the Aether at will, so he couldn't guarantee that Fandral would be fine if he touched it.

If the Aether didn't like Fandral's touch, it might suddenly unleash an energy burst or something. At that time, it would not only harm Fandral, but might even cause the energy inside Feny's body to go out of control.

Seeing Feny react so strongly, Fandral sheepishly withdrew his palm and said, "It doesn't look much like a weapon!"

Feny shrugged and didn't explain further.

"How did you get it?"

Sif also asked from the side.

"An accident!"

Feny continued to explain using his previous reasoning.

However, upon hearing Jane's name, Sif's expression changed slightly, and her gaze began to wander. Obviously, her mind was no longer entirely on the Aether.

The others actually noticed Sif's change, and they all knew very well why she was acting this way.

"Speaking of which, where is Thor?"

Immediately after, Fandral asked in a disgruntled tone.

Although Thor was the Prince of Asgard, they were friends who grew up together. The bond of brotherhood among them clearly outweighed status and position.

Now that Volstagg was seriously injured, even Feny knew to pay a visit, yet Thor was nowhere to be seen.

However, just as his voice fell, the door to the ward was pushed open, and Thor walked in pulling a self-conscious Jane along.

Upon seeing Thor, the three were somewhat happy, but when they saw Jane next to him, their expressions changed slightly. Sif, in particular, kept her eyes fixed on Jane.

As Sif's best friends, Fandral and Volstagg naturally supported Sif unconditionally, but their personalities wouldn't let them casually hate Jane's presence either.

Moreover, they all knew that in the end, Thor had to make this choice himself.

As for Thor, being somewhat slow-witted, he didn't notice the emotional shifts in his companions. Instead, seeing Feny here as well, he was slightly surprised.
