Chapter 43 - chapter 43 The last story is that love never ends.

The Night of the Mark

When Laboni was weeping inconsolably and begging for freedom, the supernatural influence suddenly began to wane. As the shadowy figure of the ethereal 'Aadi' vanished from the room, the environment grew still. Henry returned to his natural form, his golden spectacles resting on his nose. He rushed forward and held Laboni in a firm embrace.

Henry: (Placing a hand on her forehead) "Calm down, Laboni. I am here. Aadi is gone. He won't be able to hurt you anymore."

Laboni was still trembling. The sharp pain in her abdomen was slowly fading, but she remained weak. She felt a sense of grounding within the warmth of Henry's chest.

Laboni: "He was saying I am his Queen... He has left something inside me, Henry! I'm so scared."

Henry held her even closer and wiped away her tears.

Henry: "Nothing will happen. I am your husband before I am a police officer. I won't let any dark force come between us. Come, let me get you some water."

He carried her in his arms and laid her on the bed. The room was now filling with the soft light of dawn. But as Henry looked toward the window, he noticed a strange, dark mark appearing on his own wrist—exactly like the flame symbol of Laboni's locket. He quickly hid it under his sleeve, away from her sight.

He realized that while Aadi might have departed temporarily, he had left his mark on both of them.

Two Decades Later: The Grand Celebration

The wheels of time had turned significantly. Their two daughters were now grown and married off in grand ceremonies. After the festivities, Henry and Laboni returned to America, the place of their old memories.

A massive, glamorous party was organized in the city. Henry was no longer just a senior officer; he had reached the highest rank of Inspector General (IG). The elite of the city gathered to celebrate his promotion and the daughters' weddings.

The ballroom was filled with soft lights and the melody of violins. Laboni wore an exquisite gown, while Henry had traded his IG uniform for a sharp black tuxedo. Behind his golden-rimmed glasses, there was an unusual stillness in his eyes. At the guests' request, the couple took to the center of the hall for a classic dance.

As they swayed to the gentle rhythm and drew close, the surrounding noise seemed to vanish. In that moment, something mysterious occurred:

Laboni's Transformation: Her eyes flickered for a second into that deep, void-black color—a haunting reminder of that cursed night. A mysterious, regal smile played on her lips.

Henry's Transformation: Simultaneously, the hidden dark mark on Henry's wrist began to glow, and his pupils turned sharp and inhuman.

They danced in each other's arms, yet neither could see the other's transformation. Laboni thought she was dancing with her devoted husband; Henry believed he was holding his beloved wife. But within both, the seeds of ancient darkness had grown into a mighty tree.

Someone in the crowd whispered, "The Queen has found her King, but they do not yet know they are both part of the darkness now."

The dance ended to a thunderous applause. But in the mirrors, the reflection did not show two humans—it showed two supernatural entities embracing one another.

The Secret Union

Seeking an escape from the glare of the lights, they sought a moment of solitude. Moving away from the dance floor, Henry pulled Laboni into a large, luxury washroom nearby.

As the door clicked shut, the outside world went silent. Standing before the mirror, the old madness returned. It was as if Henry had reclaimed his lost youth from twenty years ago, and Laboni had found her vibrant Henry again.

The embrace was so deep that time ceased to exist. In a surge of overwhelming emotion, their clothes fell to the floor one by one.

The room was bathed in a dim blue light, creating a hazy, mystical atmosphere. Their silhouettes appeared blurred in the steamed-up mirror, their outlines shrouded in mist. In that play of light and shadow, their forms weren't fully distinct, but the intense pull between them was undeniable.

Henry pressed Laboni against the wall as they lost themselves in a deep, lingering kiss. This union was not merely of two bodies; it was the culmination of twenty years of thirst and the manifestation of that supernatural power. A tremor seemed to vibrate around them, proving they were now far more than ordinary humans.

When they finally pulled apart, four handprints appeared on the steamed glass—as if someone else had also been a witness to their union.

The Final Scene: The Fetters of Fate

The steam on the mirror began to thicken. Outside, the music from the party in IG Henry's honor continued to drift in, but inside these four walls, time remained frozen.

The expensive clothes scattered on the floor stood witness to a primal and supernatural union. As Laboni panted against Henry's chest, she suddenly felt his body becoming ice-cold. She looked up, only to find that the love and tenderness in Henry's eyes had turned into a cold, detached void.

Henry: (In a strangely chilling voice) "Laboni, what I lost twenty years ago has been fulfilled today. I am no longer just an IG of police; I am beyond time."

Laboni tried to speak, but a strange vibration started within her own body. She realized that the entity 'Aadi' had never truly left them. Instead, through this union, that power had now completely fused with their blood.

They dressed and tried to regain their composure. When Henry put on his golden glasses and stood before the mirror, his reflection once again looked like the stern, 49-year-old officer. But deep within the glass, the shadow of the 20-year-old youth flickered for a fleeting second.

As they stepped back into the ballroom, the guests were still cheering. Their two daughters ran toward them, smiling.

Eldest Daughter: "Dad, you both look so happy today! It's like you've traveled back to your youth."

Henry and Laboni looked at each other. There were no words in that glance, only a terrifying, secret understanding. They knew that behind the glitz and glamour of their American life, they were now the King and Queen of a dark world. In the sunlight, they were ordinary; but when night falls, they are part of an eternal, ancient mystery.

As the first light of dawn began to break, Henry gripped Laboni's hand firmly and vanished into the crowd. No one knew that it wasn't a human couple walking away, but an ancient mystery walking through the heart of the city.
