Chapter 1 - How it all began

Donald was furious and sad and all sorts of emotions. He couldn't think clearly. All he could think about was how scrooge had let della go. And now she was gone. And her kids, still just eggs, would have to be raised by him. He wasn't letting scrooge anywhere near his family ever again.

Donald grabbed the handles of the baby carriage, holding all three of the triplets, and pushed it out the door. Donald didn't realize, though, that two of the eggs had gone missing. They must've fallen at the McDuck manor. Donald sighed, but he didn't turn around. He was going to stay, because never seeing scrooge again was better than knowing that scrooge had some of Della's kids. He could take care of them and not kill them like della, he has enough money to buy someone to take care of them. Donald just knew he was never going back.

He looked at Huey's egg and smiled sadly.

Scrooge picked up the lone egg in the front steps of his home and looked out at duckberg. Donald was gone and never coming back. He tried calling Donald, telling him that he left an egg, but it was obvious he was blocked. Donald would never forgive him.

Scrooge looked down at the egg and wiped off some dust, carrying it back inside to take care of Louie. He wasn't going to fail Della twice.

Somewhere on the other side of town, a lone egg sat. Until a short woman with a purse came and picked it up, inspecting it from all sides, and carrying it back home with her.
