*Chapter: Becoming Her*
After Raymond and I parted ways, I stepped into a new version of myself. I was no longer the girl who waited for love to validate her. I had been through friendship, heartbreak, healing, and loss but now, I was learning how to stand on my own.
I focused on school, picked up new interests, and began to build a life that didn't revolve around anyone else's presence. For the first time, I asked myself what I wanted not what others expected.
I changed the way I dressed, carried myself with more confidence, and learned to say "no" without guilt. I started meeting new people, not because I needed someone to complete me, but because I was whole on my own. My circle got smaller, but it became stronger.
Opportunities came. I started small businesses, joined a few online communities, and realized I had more to offer than just my looks or relationship status. My voice mattered. My dreams mattered. I mattered.
And slowly, I began to enjoy my own company taking walks, journaling, praying, and just being still. I wasn't in a rush to fall in love again. If love comes, it will find me already loving myself.
