After getting up in the morning , I can't help but feel the pain in my legs , cramps from last days overwhelming demon training routine. I woke up somehow and decided to go and have breakfast. As it was already 7 in the morning , not many kids have woken up yet, but Sister Lily was awake and was already cooking our breakfast/lunch , yeah we don't have 3 time food here, only breakfast and then dinner, maybe nobles will have those, but for brats like us, 2 times was enough.
"Hi Sister, is the food ready? I am starving."
I simply sat on the big , worn out dining table.
"Theo , you are already awake, I thought you would sleep longer." Sister Lily asked , looking puzzled.
I smiled bitterly, and said " After training with Asta, it is quite easy to get a very deep sleep so longer hours are not required."
Sister Lily looked at me as if she has just seen a ghost risen back from his grave. And quickly ran to me.
"Why would you do something like that ! did you forget what happened last time!?"
I smiled wryly and said," It's not that big of a deal , its not like I am completely following Asta's training regime, I just do enough for me to reach my limit, after that I simply quit. And anyway it's quite hard to say no to Asta."
Sister Lily looked at worriedly, and grimaced, " what is Asta thinking, he should understand by now that no one can truly follow his training regime. But knowing Asta, he will not stop until you truly train with him."
She sighed once and then smiled helplessly, "wait I will get you your breakfast."
After the breakfast , I again started thinking on my dreadful idea of joining Asta's training. You see , no one has ever tried to train with Asta, first of all due to obvious reason, as Asta doesn't have magic, no one wants to waste time with him, doing something meaningless as 500 squats, when you simply need to use magic.
So most of the time ,mages do their training alone, for example Yuno, he trains too everyday, but if you see that bastard's training, you will feel despair, when he trains , he is like the only one in the world, learning all the magic tricks that I have created within 2 to 3 days is easy for him .
2 to 3 days.
You will realize the true meaning of despair, when you train with him, like seriously, I needed 14 years to create those techniques and you just learned it in 3 days! How dare you?!
But well that is Yuno for you, doesn't need much effort but results will always be high.
Just thinking of him makes me feel gloomy.
After walking to the village, I went to the tavern in the village just to hear the gossip.
"I heard that diamond kingdom is doing experiment on the peasants and commoners , to somehow create a mage with higher mana. Is it really possible?"
A man sitting across my table spoke, with fear and excitement contained in his voice.
" Haah, how is that even possible, are you an idiot? Magic is something that is determined at birth, how can there be an increase in mana, maybe they are just using those commoners as slaves."
The other man was visibly deflated now, and stopped speaking.
When I heard them talk , my mind can't help but drift to the Diamond Kingdom, how they were experimenting on their own citizens and would even succed in the future.
I muttered, " That is also a method to increase mana pool . Maybe in the future I should go to Diamond Kingdom once."
The man who was all gloomy, again brightened up, "But what if it is true!? Commoners can finally live a worthy life!"
The man opposite to him , sarcastically said, " And how would you even go there? Did you forget that all the borders are close borders, do you wany to end up in prison? Did you forget what that magic knight said?"
The man opposite to him completely deflated.
As I heard them, I can't help but remember that 3 months ago a magic knight came to the Village, and issued a decree, that anyone who leaves for Diamond Kingdom will be punished, and even his/ her family will not be spared.
Yes, how else would these commoners recieve any news ? Only when the high and mighty nobles or magic knight feels like it is time to share some information with peasants and commoners.
When I think like this , I can't help but remember about major exploits that Black bulls will do against The Diamond Kingdom. And then also the way the so called "Eight Shining Generals" , like seriously, how can beings on captain level be easily defeated by a magic knight squad without their captain.
Yeah I can say that Asta's anti-magic is too much of a bug, but even then these people should easily be able to take down just small team of black bulls and Golden Dawn.
But no, they were defeated , I mean are these guys seriously on magic knight captain level, I feel they are one level below, only then all these should have been possible .
As I left the tavern, I started roaming on the street , what else could I do? It's not like this world has any mobile phones or arcade games, or internet. So most of my day is usually spent by roaming , training and sleeping.
As I was walking towards Church , I ran into Yuno, who was about to start his training.
"Theo, want to train today? I think you can come up with some new ideas that will help me with my magic."
I slightly grimaced and said, "Sorry Yuno, gotta do training today , can't come."
Yuno looked at me in his same , cool , holier than thou look, and expressionlessly replied back "Okay, do not forget the monthly match, anyway I am going to win it".
I grumbled and said," no way, I am winning this time, you little crybaby."
Yuno simply walked away with a smile on his face.
We three, basically have a monthly battle royalle , where we fight each other and try defeat each other using our strengths, we started it when we were 10 years old, initially I used to win all the battles, then slowly Yuno started catching up after the first 2 years, and by now when we are 14 years old ,Yuno is always winning.
Yeah, he is absolute monster once he realises how I am winning against him.Always able to learn my tricks and use them much better than me. Therefore I am training differently this time.
After thinking for a while, I decided to go towards the forest and start training too, as I don't want to loose too badly again against Yuno.
As for Asta, well he always looses, due to his loudmouth nature , it is too easy to realize where he is , and what he wants to do, so always an easy win for me against him. He will only become the nightmare of mages after getting his 5 leaf clover grimoire.
After walking to the forest I started doing my training, concentrating my Chakra...Ahem..Ahem.. I mean my mana on sole of my shoes and trying to walk on tree.
Yeah classic Naruto training, I don't know much about extraordinary energy training anyway , so doing what I think will work and boy it works.
I don't know is it because Chakra and magic, both extraordinary energy system, that they work similarly, or is it because magic is supposed to be a miracle, yes , I never once forgot what magic truly is , it is miracle itself. I mean how else could thread magic somehow becomes fate magic, or how something like dream magic exist. Yes , many magic seems non scientific, but because magic is miracle, if you believe it, it is possible.
Even Asta's Antimagic, may be a result of a miracle,as his step bro simply hated everything about demons and magic , so buddy somehow awakened anti-magic itself, no magic works on him, even Lucifero's magic did not.
That's enough to show the true nature of magic, it is miracle itself.
After thinking these random theories in my head I decided it was time for me to seriously start training. And just like that the sun came down and moon went up, after that I went back, ate dinner, and then slept back in my room.
