The car rolled to a slow stop in front of Jamie's house.
Neither of them spoke as they settled into a comfortable silence. Jett's hand stayed on the steering wheel for a second longer than necessary before he finally broke the silence.
"We're here, sweetheart." He said softly.
But Jamie didn't answer, he sat rigid in the passenger seat, arms folded in front of him and gaze fixed straight ahead.
Jett followed his line of sight and nodded toward the driveway. "See? There's your car."
He glanced back at Jamie, who was still saying nothing.
Jett sighed quietly, then leaned over to take off his seatbelt for him. Jamie, suddenly aware of their close proximity, froze as Jett a little too close than he could've handled. Jamie's face turned slightly toward Jett, who was already looking at him.
Jett observed Jamie's face up close, the way his eyes fluttered in the silence, the way his eyes drifted around, barely meeting Jett's before looking away again.
