Chapter 12 - CHAPTER 12 — The Walk to Heaven’s Kitchen POV: Alex → Zoro → Straw Hat Crew → Adults → Alex

🔶 POV: Alex (Third-Person)

The hallway to the dining hall stretches ahead—warm lights, polished wood, subtle golden glow, infinite and comforting despite the impossible geometry.

Alex leads the way.

Behind him?

Chaos.

Zoro struggles against the rope like a feral animal.

Sanji drags him like a misbehaving toddler.

The Straw Hats roast him so hard the walls could catch fire.

The ninjas are confused.

The Saiyans are fascinated.

And Alex—Alex allows it.

Why?

Because deep down, he finds this hilarious.

And harmless chaos helps diffuse multiversal tension.

🔶 POV: Zoro (First-Person)

"I DON'T GET LOST!"

I tug.

Nothing happens.

"I'M NOT A CHILD—LET ME GO!"

I tug harder.

Nothing.

"I CAN FOLLOW A STRAIGHT PATH! I ALWAYS FOLLOW A STRAIGHT PATH!"

I tug so hard the rope cuts into my hands.

Still nothing.

WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO ME—

🔶 POV: Nami (First-Person)

"Oh yeah? Then why'd you get lost following a straight path?"

I smirk.He goes red.Sanji grins.Everyone laughs.

This rope is the best invention ever created.

🔶 POV: Usopp (First-Person)

"Zoro… buddy… pal… I watched you do it.I SAW IT.You walked left when the directions said to walk forward."

🔶 POV: Robin (First-Person)

"Memories truly are precious.Especially when they immortalize stupidity."

🔶 POV: Brook (First-Person)

"Yohoho! Zoro-san is directionally challenged! It warms my bones!Though I have no bones! YOHOHOHO!"

🔶 POV: Sanji (First-Person)

I yank the rope hard.

He falls face-first.

Beautiful.

"HE DID get lost on a straight path.I was there.I saw it.I lived it.I suffered because of it."

I kick him lightly in the side.

"You deserve this."

🔶 POV: Zoro (First-Person)

LIES.

ALL OF IT.

I DON'T GET LOST.

I DON'T.

THEY'RE ALL WRONG.

THE WORLD IS WRONG.

I KNOW WHERE I'M GOING.

Always.

Most of the time.

Sometimes.

…Shut up.

🔶 POV: Alex (Third-Person)

Alex pauses mid-step.

Turns his faceless head slightly toward the group.

His voice drops to a thinking murmur:

"…I wonder.Maybe it's not incompetence.Maybe it's a curse.Or…"

He tilts his head.

"…a unique power bestowed for the sake of divine entertainment."

Everything falls silent.

Not because they understand.

But because they don't understand enough to object.

The adults shiver.Sanji twitches. The Straw Hats pause.Even Vegeta and Piccolo blink.

🔶 POV: Nami (First-Person)

A curse?

A power?

Entertainment…?

No. No no no.Nope.Absolutely not.

That explains WAY too much.

🔶 POV: Robin (First-Person)

Divine entertainment…A terrifying concept.

Could beings truly—

No.Must not think about this too deeply.

🔶 POV: Kakashi (First-Person)

A curse of direction…

Honestly?Feels plausible.

🔶 POV: Bulma (First-Person)

If his biology has a dimensional anchor that spins incorrectly—

Wait.Stop.Don't theorize this.Sanity is slipping.

🔶 POV: Jiraiya (First-Person)

Divine entertainment…

If this is true, his existence is a cosmic joke.

…I should write that down.

🔶 POV: Vegeta (First-Person)

A curse?A DIVINE joke?

Hah.

This is the only thing that makes sense about this idiot.

🔶 POV: Goku (First-Person)

Is it a cool power? Can I get it?Would it help me find food faster?

🔶 POV: Naruto (First-Person)

Man…I'm glad I don't have that curse.

Pretty sure.

I hope.

Oh no what if I do—

🔶 POV: Sanji (First-Person)

I drag Zoro with renewed confidence.

"Come on, CURSED BOY."

His denial is delicious.

🔶 POV: Zoro (First-Person)

A CURSE!?

I AM NOT CURSED!

I…I…

…am I cursed?

NO I'M NOT.

I HATE EVERYTHING.

🔶 POV: Alex (Third-Person)

Alex moves on, satisfied.

He created a little chaos.

He sparked a little existential horror.

He entertained himself.

The characters continue bickering, theorizing, denying, lamenting—

All exactly as Alex intended.

At last, they reach a towering pair of golden double doors.

Alex places a hand on the handle.

"Welcome,"he says gently,"to the Infinite Dining Hall."

The doors swing open.

And the smell of all cuisine across existence washes over them…

And all hell breaks loose.
