Chapter 2 - Chapter 1

"Aviella!" the nun shouted from outside her room. She ignored her, her body still heavy with exhaustion.

"Aviella, you child! How many times do I have to call you to open this door? You're going to be late for class!" the nun grumbled, her knocking persistent.

With every passing second, the pounding on the door grew louder, fueling her irritation. She stood up angrily and stomped toward the door. "Sister, I don't want to go to school," she said, rubbing her eyes.

"What do you mean you don't want to? Come on." The nun did not indulge her wishes; instead, she grabbed her hand and dragged her toward the classroom of the orphanage.

Yes, that's right—an orphanage. She was still an infant when her mother and father left her for unknown reasons. Now, at seven years old and having stayed at the orphanage for two years, she had learned many things—including the fact that her parents were worthless.

She was also the only child isolated in a distant room because, according to them, she was being attacked by a "dark version" of herself. They didn't understand what was happening to her either.

"Go on, get inside," the nun said before releasing her in front of the door.

She let out a heavy sigh and looked the nun in the eye. "Okay..." she replied in a cold tone.

The nun recoiled and hurried away from her. Aviella turned to the door and knocked.

"Come in," said the teacher-nun inside.

She swung the door open roughly and slammed it shut behind her. She walked straight to the back where her seat was located. All of her classmates fell silent, and even her teacher stopped speaking.

No one dared to react to her behavior.

As she sat down, she noticed everyone was staring at her. "What are you looking at?" Aviella asked them, her voice devoid of emotion.

Her classmates immediately faced the nun, who began to teach with a noticeable tremble in her voice.

He looked out the window wickedly and told himself that one day he would be able to get out of that place too.
