Kaiser returned home after his time in the rift. He had barely slept for several months, and his clothes were covered in dust. He had used a lot of energy, and his body needed rest. After three days on the road, the family home stood in the middle of a vast estate.

Kaiser simply nodded and passed through the gate, immediately sensing a familiar smell. It had been almost two and a half years since he last returned.
He climbed the stairs slowly and went straight to the bathroom. He turned on the hot water and let the bathtub fill. He removed his clothes one by one, then stepped into the foaming bath. He felt the heat envelop his muscles. His body had been tense for months, and the contact with the water gave him an immediate sense of relief. He stayed still for a moment, leaning against the edge, and at that instant he couldn't help thinking about Ruby.
