Chapter 99 - I Need to Find Him

"Ah! Shit! Bunch of bastards! Traitor!"

"For the stability of the tribe. No heir must threaten the new unity."

His claws pierced my flesh and I felt the heat of my blood soaking my tunic, bringing me back to a primal instinct.

As he withdrew his claws, I gathered everything I had left of aura into the sole of my foot. The air around vibrated, charged with static electricity.

With a hip movement, I launched a kick at his knee.

*Crack*

"Ahhhh, shit! Father!"

He screamed, his knee giving way at an impossible angle, and he was thrown backward.

I no longer thought and did not wait for my uncle to return.

I ducked through the opening of the hut, my hand pressed against the wound. Shouts rose behind me. The jungle, behind the camp, called to me with its menacing thickness. I rushed into it.
