Adrian's office in the princely manor of Skycity was silent, vast, and orderly. Large bay windows overlooked the outside, where a magical projection device broadcast the Academy entrance exam in real time. The images showed a ravaged terrain, dust still suspended, and two figures in motion. One of them, spear in hand, was clearly identifiable.
Adrian stood near the desk, arms crossed, gaze fixed on the scene. Isabella sat nearby, upright, hands clasped on her knees. Her face was calm, but her eyes betrayed slight tension.
"It's quite surprising, Lady Isabella," Adrian said in a measured tone, glancing at her briefly before turning his attention back to the fight.
She turned her head slightly toward him. "I'm sure there's an explanation. Kris isn't that kind of person."
A half-smile appeared on the prince's face. "Well, I'm not judging your brother. Even if it's illegal, everyone has their hobbies."
