Two days later, Kaiser headed to his demonology and angelology class. The course was taught by Professor Lady Merlin du Vulcain, an elf from Yggdrasil renowned for her expertise in the subject. He walked with his hands buried in the pockets of his uniform, his posture relaxed, almost carefree. When he reached the heavy door, he pushed it open without hurry and stepped inside.
A deafening clamor greeted him immediately: loud, overlapping conversations. Ignoring the commotion, he climbed the few steps leading to the upper rows, made his way to his usual seat near the large window overlooking the main courtyard.
He sat down, rested his elbow on the desk surface, and propped his chin in the palm of his hand. His gaze drifted outside, where groups of students hurried past, chatting animatedly.
