Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: Ninja School Established, No Principal

For several days, Lord Mu had been organizing the planning for Iwagakure.

The Anbu was officially established, with Lord Mu personally selecting its members.

Of course, these were not what Lord Mu was most concerned about; his primary focus was the construction of the Ninja School.

After several days of accelerated construction, Iwagakure's first Ninja Academy was officially completed.

Lord Mu first ordered a census of those willing to become Ninja.

This census revealed that, aside from those unable to extract Chakra, everyone who could extract Chakra wanted to become a Ninja and attend the Ninja Academy, totaling three hundred eligible students.

After all, becoming a Ninja was the only way for these commoners to cross class boundaries.

Lord Mu was not surprised by this.

"Who should serve as the principal of this Ninja School?"

Lord Mu hesitated slightly.

If Ōnoki were a bit older, perhaps he could take on the role, but Ōnoki was too young, so he was immediately ruled out.

Then there was Ishikawa, but Ishikawa was the Tsuchikage, and serving as both Tsuchikage and Ninja School principal was unsuitable. Furthermore, Ishikawa was already nearing retirement; dragging that old man out again would be too shabby.

After some thought, Lord Mu made a decisive decision.

He directly appointed himself as the first principal of the Ninja School!

He would personally cultivate the next generation of Iwagakure successors.

Any matter is only reliable if one handles it personally.

...

The next day, the Iwagakure Ninja School was officially established and immediately began its opening ceremony!

The full name of the Iwagakure Ninja School was the Iwagakure Ninja Training School.

"Today, on this bright and sunny day, approved by Lord Mu and chosen by Lord Mu for its location, the Ninja Training School, constructed by Iwagakure engineering, is officially established. Now, Lord Mu will speak!"

Amidst the extremely enthusiastic applause of the Iwagakure residents,

Lord Mu slowly walked towards the high platform.

Looking at the children and Iwagakure residents below,

Lord Mu cleared his throat and began to expound on the Will of Stone he had created!

"On this day of the Ninja School's establishment, what I want to say is that our new generation in Iwagakure must possess the Will of Stone!"

"The so-called Will of Stone means being unmoving and unyielding!"

"The Will of Stone is an unshakeable, resilient defense like a rock wall when facing a powerful enemy."

"It means never retreating a single step due to the enemy's strength; it is a solid and steady style of action like a rock when performing missions, completing the mission in the most reliable way."

"The Will of Stone must be passed down through generations. The older generation of Ninja will transmit their experience and beliefs to their descendants like accumulating rock layers."

"The new generation of Ninja will follow in the footsteps of their predecessors, carving new marks on the rocks, allowing this will to extend like a mountain range, so that Iwagakure, under the protection of the Will of Stone, will forever stand at the pinnacle of the Ninja World!"

Below the stage, not only did the children's eyes sparkle with longing,

even some young people and elders who had emerged from the chaotic era gleamed with excitement, as if they saw a path filled with brilliant prospects!

Thunderous applause erupted again!

"Will of Stone...unyielding! Unmoving! Teacher spoke too well!!!"

Ōnoki, who was in the distance, looked at Lord Mu with an excited and worshipful expression.

Ishikawa nodded in admiration.

As expected of Lord Mu...I felt back then that this guy could serve as our Iwagakure's strategist.

"Ōnoki, you must diligently learn from your teacher!"

"Learn his Dust Release, learn his Public Speaking Ability (speech ability), learn his wisdom, and even more, learn his Will of Stone!"

Ishikawa patted Ōnoki solemnly and instructed him.

He had high hopes for Ōnoki; otherwise, he wouldn't have entrusted him to Lord Mu for cultivation.

Ōnoki nodded in agreement.

There was so much to learn from his teacher!

In Ōnoki's eyes, there was no such thing as a perfect person in the world.

But his teacher was an exception!

His teacher was a perfect person!

"Alright, alright..."

Lord Mu waved his hand at the crowd, smiling slightly, very satisfied with the effect.

The next generation of children would definitely revere him as a god!

In the future Iwagakure historical records, his brilliance would definitely surpass that of the First Tsuchikage, Lord Tsuchikage Ishikawa!

Lord Mu paused and continued to speak,

"From today onwards, you will learn various skills such as Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, and theory in this Ninja School."

"But remember, skills are just tools."

"The Will of Stone is your soul. In the days to come, various challenges will await you. Only by adhering to the Will of Stone can you become true Iwagakure Ninja."

As soon as he finished speaking,

a child in the crowd timidly raised a hand.

Lord Mu raised an eyebrow and then motioned.

"What's wrong? Speak, it's alright. Feel free to speak your mind. You can ask any questions directly."

Lord Mu highly valued freedom of speech.

Even if you shouted "Down with Lord Mu!" in Iwagakure, Lord Mu would allow such speech to exist.

Accepting all criticism was a fundamental principle for a Village.

The child stood up nervously.

Then, a little tense, he asked, "Lord Mu, if we encounter an enemy we can't defeat, should we still persist in fighting?"

As soon as these words came out,

the residents and Ninja immediately became polarized!

"Nonsense! Isn't that the basic quality of a Ninja? Even if you can't win, you have to fight. At worst, you die gloriously. Are you a coward, child?!"

"I object! Don't you think that's too crazy? They are just children!"

"Hmph! We came out of the chaotic era. Back then, every child could be turned into an explosive tag as a human bomb!"

The crowd below discussed animatedly.

Some who had emerged from the chaotic era believed that Ninja were meant to live and die for their cause; if they couldn't win, they should die gloriously, becoming human bombs.

Other residents felt that was too crazy, as they were just children and should learn to protect themselves.

Lord Mu didn't ponder; he just smiled slightly.

He immediately gave his answer!

"The Will of Stone is not blind recklessness, but rather calmly thinking in adversity and finding solutions to problems. If the enemy is too powerful, preserving strength is also a kind of wisdom!"

"But the belief in one's heart must never waver."

Lord Mu directly gave the official answer to everyone!

The child nodded, seemingly understanding, then sat down.

"Finally, I want to propose a motto for the Ninja School!"

Lord Mu, with a smile, moved a large stone to the entrance of the Ninja School.

Then, he directly condensed Chakra at his fingertips and began to write the motto!

Everyone held their breath, looking forward to what kind of motto Lord Mu would propose.

"The motto I want to give everyone is only nine characters"

"That is: efforts in the world will not be in vain

Lord Mu finished writing the motto with powerful strokes, and thunderous applause erupted again below the stage.

The children's eyes were filled with longing for the future, determined to study hard in the Ninja School and practice the Will of Stone.
