Gu Yin wasn't surprised to hear Dannas say his name. He'd already suspected as much. 'How could a Snake Beast as cunning as Dannas not discover my true identity?'

"To save my female. She… is injured." Gu Yin's voice was tinged with sorrow.
"Oh, so the little snake has a female. How impressive." Dannas chuckled, his tone thick with mock sincerity, then pushed open the gate to the backyard.
The two of them returned to the center of the backyard garden. The Beastman corpses that had been there were gone, devoured without a single bone left behind.
