Night fell, and the Beastmen stopped traveling, looking for nearby places to rest.
Anu found an abandoned cave. It wasn't very large, but there was more than enough room for two people.
He went outside and pulled up some green vines, tying them together to make a broom. After sweeping the cave inside and out, he started a bonfire and laid down a few thick animal hides.
He sat cross-legged on the hides and patted the empty space beside him. His smiling, narrowed eyes held a unique charm. "It's cold. Want to sleep leaning against me?"
Sang Luo shook her head, refusing.
"I have a mate."
"So you mean I should go sleep outside?" He was speechless. "You sure know how to make yourself at home in someone else's nest."
