A few young Male Beastmen were craning their necks, sneaking peeks inside.
The door suddenly swung open, making them jump out of their skin.
Lan Cang walked out, rolling up his sleeves. He glanced at them. "You guys have nothing better to do? What are you doing here?"
"We were just passing by! We're leaving right now!"
'They wouldn't dare admit they'd heard a Male Beast had entered the City Lord's room and hadn't come out for a full day and night. It was unbelievably shocking! They just wanted to see if the rumors were true.'
"Hey, Boss, you heading out? Weren't all the Star Beasts outside the city wiped out?"
Lan Cang headed for the kitchen. "I'm going to cook."
