Chapter 22 - Chapter 22: Shattered Intentions

"Do you even realize what you did to me?"

Sakura's voice trembled as she spoke, every word heavy, cutting through the quiet elegance of the room. She stood up abruptly, chair scraping against the floor, her hands clenched so tightly her nails dug into her palms.

"You know… because of you, everything is falling apart," she continued, her voice shaking more with each sentence. "My group. My friendship. My trust."

Koharu froze in her seat.

Sakura laughed bitterly, tears blurring her vision. "Do you know how hard it was to stand in front of Aiko today? To look at my members and pretend everything was fine?"

Her chest tightened. She couldn't hold it anymore.

The flowers Koharu had carefully chosen—white, soft, gentle—were still lying on the table. Sakura grabbed them suddenly and threw them down in front of Koharu. The petals scattered across the floor like something broken beyond repair.

"I don't need your support," Sakura cried. "OG doesn't need your support."

Her tears finally fell, one after another, unstoppable.

Koharu stood up instinctively and reached out. "Sakura—"

She tried to wipe the tears from Sakura's face, desperate, panicked.

"Don't touch me!" Sakura shoved her away.

Koharu stumbled back. Her hand struck the edge of the glass table with a sharp sound. Pain shot through her palm as a thin line of blood appeared, glass cutting into her skin.

But she didn't even look at it.

All Koharu could see was Sakura—crying, shaking, slipping farther away with every second.

How did it turn into this? Koharu thought. I planned everything perfectly. I only wanted her happiness.

Her hand throbbed, blood slowly dripping onto the marble floor, but her mind refused to focus on it. She felt empty. Lost.

Koharu finally spoke, her voice low, cracked, stripped of all authority.

"I just wanted to see you happy," she said. "Just like before. I… I like you so much that I couldn't stop myself. I did everything for you."

Sakura's eyes snapped up, filled with disbelief and anger.

"You like me?" she said sharply. "Or are you obsessed with me?"

Koharu opened her mouth, but Sakura didn't let her speak.

"You're a fucking lunatic," Sakura said, her words shaking but firm. "You created problems. You created misunderstandings between my group. Between me and Aiko."

Each sentence felt like a blow.

"I am straight," Sakura continued, tears still falling. "Get that into your mind. I know exactly what this dinner was meant to be."

Koharu's heart shattered at those words.

"And please," Sakura said quietly now, exhaustion replacing anger, "leave it to us. Let us manage our own lives. Our own careers."

She turned away.

"Sakura—" Koharu whispered.

But Sakura didn't look back.

Her footsteps echoed as she walked out, leaving behind fallen petals, broken glass, and a woman who finally realized that love twisted by control could only destroy what it claimed to protect.

Koharu stood there alone, blood on her hand, regret heavier than pain—staring at the door long after Sakura was gone.
