Morning arrived quietly in the mansion.
Shi Shi came downstairs early, wearing a simple dress.
Her hair was tied neatly, her face soft and gentle — the perfect image of an obedient wife.
Mr. Shing noticed her calm immediately.
"Why are you awake so early?" he asked coldly.
"To prepare breakfast," Shi Shi replied politely.
She placed the cup of coffee in front of him.
Perfect temperature.
Perfect timing.
Mr. Shing's eyes darkened.
No one ever pleased him this effortlessly.
"Who taught you this?" he asked.
Shi Shi blinked innocently.
"I learned by watching."
A lie — but a beautiful one.
Later that day, gunshots echoed near the southern territory.
An ambush.
Mr. Shing reached for his weapon, but before he could move, the call came.
"All attackers eliminated."
He froze.
"How?" he demanded.
Silence… then a single name whispered through the phone.
"Madam."
That night, Mr. Shing stood outside Shi Shi's room.
He knocked once.
"Open the door."
Shi Shi opened it slowly, eyes wide and pure.
"Yes?"
His gaze locked onto hers — sharp, searching.
"Tell me," he said coldly,
"what are you hiding?"
Shi Shi smiled softly.
"Only my love for you."
But behind that smile was a promise:
