Chapter 2 - Escape

"For the last time I'm asking this politely where are the things?"

"What things officer ?" I asked with a hint of smirk on my face knowing how it's gonna piss him off.

One look at his face and one at the watch on his wrist. The same his mother bought for him with her last savings and I knew about. How? No one needed to know. At least not now. The time was ticking. Ten more minutes, I had to stall him for ten more minutes and keep others out of this room.

"You're looking so restless officer ? Drink some water"

He sat down in front of me and taking a breath said "look , don't make it harder than it has to be. Tell the details and you'll face less penality I promise you that."

I tilted my face a little. "Quite a bold claim officer but nevermind I'm not in the mood."

Eight minutes left. Good.

I looked at the large wooden table between us. The chairs the ceiling and everything like I'm seeing this kind of room for the first time or for the last time, who knows.

His eyes were following mine, for a hint for any clue or crack. The only reason he was being patient was well he couldn't kill me. How many time he had in his mind I can't tell that.

Five minutes left.

Next thing I stared at was his uniform. Quite good. Oh impressive. The uniform or his physique I couldn't exactly tell. Then I looked at his shoes. His gaze following mine. The way he clenched his fists was laughable and I almost laughed. Almost.

Two minutes left.

" Can I get a glass of water, officer?"

The time was calculated. One hundred seconds for him to go get water and come back. We had twenty seconds on hand. Good.

Tick. Tick. Tick.

As he was within five steps range the glass wall shattered smoke filled the room. Ten seconds. I got up still tied to chair knocked him off. And the last second I was jumping off from the third floor of the building with a knocked off officer.
