Chapter 95 - Chapter 96: I Have Come to Aid You

Chapter 96: I Have Come to Aid You

King walked steadily across the top of the spaceship, his footsteps ringing like metal striking metal against the hull.

With every step, his aura rose higher. When he finally stood before Boros, the sound of glass shattering echoed from within King's body.

That's right. In this passionate battle, King had broken yet another layer of his limiter, making his stats even more powerful.

He spoke, his tone carrying a hint of regret:

"It's a pity. You broke a layer of your limiter as well. If you could survive this battle, you would likely become even stronger."

Boros smiled miserably. He sensed it. King had become stronger again.

Really now... the gap between you and me keeps growing...

"It doesn't matter. I never sought power for the sake of power. Power was merely a tool, my ticket, the foundation for challenging stronger beings.

"In the end, I was able to break my limiter solely because of this battle with you. A loss is a loss. I am willing to pay the price with my life, for that is the fate of the loser."

Boros paused for a second or two, looking even more drained. He took two ragged breaths before he could force out his next words:

"I am the Dominator of the Universe who has roamed the galaxies for years, the leader of the Dark Matter Thieves. Do not pity me. That is an insult."

As his voice fell, Boros spoke no more. He seemed already dead, with only a faint wisp of life force rippling within him.

King nodded. He slowly raised his hand. Powerful vitality coated his palm, compressing into the shape of a blade.

"Do you have any last words?"

"I have nothing more to say. Please, make it quick."

A sharp hand-chop sliced through the air with a chilling trail. Boros's head flew into the sky.

This time, he did not grow a new head. The severed neck showed granulation tissue trying to reconnect, but his life energy was too weak to sustain regeneration.

Boros's headless corpse stood tall atop the Dark Matter Thieves' spaceship. It remained standing, showing no sign of falling.

Just as he said before he died: He was the Universe Dominator, the leader of the Dark Matter Thieves. Even in death, he would die standing.

"Boros, you were truly a good opponent."

With those final words, feeling the ship tilt further beneath his feet, King turned and walked away.

The Universe Dominator, Boros. Dead.

...........

Amidst earth-shattering vibrations, the burning spaceship plummeted. It was about to crash into City A and raze the entire metropolis to the ground.

Below, Tatsumaki frowned. Her oceanic psychic power erupted instantly. The entire spaceship glowed green as its descent slowed significantly.

It looked like she had control, but Tatsumaki's frown deepened, and veins popped out on her forehead.

I can't control it completely...

Tatsumaki exerted her full strength, but she didn't know what materials this ship was made of. Its mass was far greater than its visible volume suggested. Even with her psychokinesis, she couldn't stop its fall entirely.

Just then, a shiny bald head shot into the sky, arriving beneath the spaceship.

Seeing the ship falling, Saitama wanted to see if he could hold it up single-handedly. He couldn't let this thing crash and flatten the city below into a 2D image.

With that thought, Saitama pressed both hands against the bottom of the ship. Then, stepping hard on the air, he used the immense recoil to push upward.

GO UP!

In the next second, a yellow streak of light passed through the spaceship without hindrance, punching a human-shaped hole straight through its layered structure.

Saitama: "..."

I punched through it again.

Simply put, the difference in density between Saitama's body and the spaceship was too vast. If one was a block of soft tofu, the other was an indestructible divine needle.

Saitama was like a sharp needle flying upward, while the spaceship was a block of tofu floating in the sky.

The needle could easily pierce the tofu, but it couldn't lift the entire block.

"Hmph! I knew that stinking boiled-egg baldy was useless. It's up to me!"

Tatsumaki, who had held a sliver of hope upon seeing Saitama act, snorted coldly. She refocused her psychic power on controlling the ship.

Meanwhile, on the ground, Puri-Puri Prisoner, Tanktop Master, Bang, and Atomic Samurai looked at each other.

"Oi, Old Man Bang. That super-huge spaceship seems to be falling. If we stay down here, we're going to be squashed into meat pancakes," Atomic Samurai said, chewing on his toothpick as the ship loomed larger in his vision.

"In that case, let's run."

Bang turned and fled without hesitation, sprinting out of the ship's impact zone.

Are you kidding? I'm a martial arts grandmaster, not a God of Martial Arts. I can reflect attacks from humanoid monsters with Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist, but asking me to block a falling spaceship? That's ridiculous!

Seeing S-Class Rank 3 and Rank 4, Bang and Atomic Samurai, running away, Tanktop Master and Puri-Puri Prisoner exchanged a glance and fled without hesitation.

Although they trusted their muscles and tank tops, they weren't idiots.

Even Tanktop Master, who had a fanatical faith in the versatility of the tank top, didn't believe his shirt could help him tank a falling spaceship.

Floating in mid-air, Tatsumaki had used all her strength. The ship's descent had slowed by about 60%, but it was still falling.

Damn it! Can I really not hold it?!

Just as Tatsumaki was overloading her psychic power, a tall figure appeared beside her.

"I have come to aid you."
