**Amaya's P.O.V**
I looked up to see Elly standing in front of me shielding me.
"Elly what are you doing?" I asked my vision blurry as she turned her face slightly.
"What does it look like I'm doing?, protecting you of course" She said with a smile then turned to face Dad.
"Elly, you dare defy Dad?, after all I did for you, you still chose her?"
"She's the only one who has shown me true love, all you do is transfer whatever hatred you have for mom to her"
"You think I don't know why you act all-loving towards me is because Amaya sold her freedom and choice in exchange for my protection and mom's health"
He was astonished when Elly said it, she had said the one thing I had always wanted to scream at him.
"How cruel can you be?, you once lived Amaya, she was your whole world and now...… can you even call yourself a fatherly figure?"
"I'll always take Amaya's side in everything because she's my sis and she has done everything possible to keep me safe"
"You're pathetic after all the love Dad has shown you, you dare betray us?"
"I can't believe you spoilt brat still has the guts to talk, just look at you, so jealous of Amaya that you have to try taking everything from her, just how old are you?, that you act like a 6-months old baby"
"Can't wait for him to start transferring aggression towards you, just wait a little longer he'll first move to your mom, if she doesn't let him, he'll change and make you his target"

"I don't care about what happens to Mom's company if it cost Amaya her freedom and dignity once again, then she's not sacrificing shit for you" she said not letting him utter a word.
I smiled subconsciously at my sister taking my side, I was so proud of how matured enough to see the truth sh had become.

I looked forward to see Elly's head tilted slightly, he slapped, he promised he wouldn't.
"I wouldn't let an immature child like you speak to me in that manner, move away from Amaya"
"You can slap me all you like, you're not going to lay a hand on my sister"
"I don't want to hurt your sister neither repeat myself Elly"
"Neither do I"
"It's okay Elly" I said weakly standing up, all parts of my body aching but I pushed past the pain if I didn't snap out of this he was going to hurt Elly.
He moved to hit her but Valerie stood in front of him stopping him.
"Dad that's enough"
""What are you doing Valerie" he asked
"This is wrong, I don't give a shit if you hit Amaya, that's her problem but don't you think hitting Elly is going too far?"
"Go!" She said
"Thank you" I muttered
"I didn't do you a favour, like I said I just don't support him beating Elly, I kind of took a liking to her, and Amaya..."
"We're still enemies, I'm not letting Aiden go"
"You're free to have him" I said and I meant it.
"Just incase you still want to try"
I left with Elly watching Valerie slowly bring dad back to his senses, immediately I left the house, I saw Aaron, the reporter that had been hanging around the house and one of tue few people who cared for me.
I was so happy to see him, when I had looked down from my window u hadn't gotten a clear view but now he looked more handsome than ever.
He rushed towards me, I'm sure he must've heard the commotion happening in the house.
Immediately he saw me he recognized me as the person he'd once protected from he own father for years using the press to threaten him.
He asked how I was taking away his camera and treated me and Elly to a meal as I told him everything that had been going on for the past four years since we last saw each other.
"I knew things were suspicious but I couldn't intervene either way, because you had consented and I had no right to butt-in" he said with a guilt filled face.
"It's fine, I survived"
"How's your mom?"
"Her condition has been improving drastically" I lied as Elly shot me a glare.
Aaron had already sacrificed a lot for me years back, I wouldn't be ungrateful enough to ask for more, Elly wouldn't understand because she was oversees.
"So now he kicked you out, do you have a place in mind to stay?, or don't tell me that you plan to go beg mr matcelo to yalr you guys in" he said as tried to speak but he wouldn't let me.
"If that's your plan, I can accommodate the two of you for some time, at least till you get something doing.
"I already asked a friend for a favour, thanks a lot"
We partied ways as he promised not to release a word to the press about anything I had told him not my current whereabouts and I was grateful.
I realized time had flown so quickly, Davina soon arrived and took Elly as planned.
"Don't you dare beg that jerk, not after all he put you through,we'll find an another way to get through this, together…"
"Yeah" I said and felt sadness wash over me as I watched their car slowly disappear from my line of sight.
I switched on my phone and immediately Aiden's message popped up.
'I hope you've been good, you can drop by the office whenever you want, I'm always available'
He was doing this on purpose trying to taunt me, and forcing his way back into my life, and Dad was the pawn he used to pull the strings.
I switched it off once again and sighed.
I went to Mom's hospital to see her, the doctor was mom's former friend so she was kind enough to give me some time to raise enough money.
Now I had one thing left to do, I hailed a cab and headed for Aiden's office.
