Chapter 20 - Chapter 20: The Strongest Nation, Attack!

Standing beside Bardock, Dr. Mu explained calmly, "According to Your Majesty's requirements, the maximum gravity supported by the Saiyan Glory Armor is one hundred times standard gravity."

Bardock frowned slightly.

One hundred times gravity was sufficient for the Saiyans at their current stage—but for him, it was far from enough.

More importantly, this figure referred to standard gravity. Saiyan Star itself already had ten times standard gravity.

At the current rate of power growth, this armor would soon be inadequate.

"Set the others aside for now," Bardock said coldly. "Focus all resources on upgrading my armor. What's the upper limit if it's not mass-produced?"

Dr. Mu fell silent briefly before answering, "If it's a custom unit, the maximum can reach eight hundred times standard gravity."

Bardock nodded with satisfaction. "Good. And the research on Senzu Beans?"

"Too little time," Dr. Mu replied honestly. "No results yet."

"That's fine," Bardock said. "Complete my armor first. Then begin mass production of the Glory Armor."

Dr. Mu bowed and withdrew with the robots.

The five sets of Glory Armor remained in the hall. All the data had already been backed up at the Imperial Research Institute, so these samples were no longer necessary.

Bardock turned his gaze sharp.

"Toma," he said, "take your squad, equip the Glory Armor, and pursue Vegeta. I want him—alive or dead."

At this point, Bardock had completely lost patience.

He had spared Old King Vegeta for the sake of Reg and his brother—but now, that mercy was no longer necessary.

Toma's eyes lit up. "Thank you, Your Majesty!"

He grabbed a set of armor and rushed out.

Moments later, four more Saiyans—three men and one woman—stormed in like a gust of wind. They saluted Bardock, grabbed the remaining armor sets, and vanished just as quickly.

Watching them leave, Paragus asked hesitantly, "Your Majesty, is it wise to send Toma's team out now? Didn't you say this period was meant for dormancy?"

"That was before," Bardock replied firmly. "It's no longer needed."

He stood up, his voice carrying authority.

"Paragus, once our people finish equipping the Saiyan Glory Armor, issue the command."

"All Saiyans are to form teams and voluntarily enter the universe to expand our territory."

"It's time for the universe to remember the terror of the strongest fighting race."

Paragus's eyes burned with excitement. "Your Majesty! This is what Saiyans were born to do!"

Bardock had decided to finally release his people after three years of restraint.

In the past, when his own battle power barely exceeded eight thousand, lying low had been necessary.

Now?

The weakest Saiyan exceeded ten thousand.

As long as they didn't run into true monsters, there would be no problems.

Even the Ginyu Force, aside from Captain Ginyu himself, had members hovering around ten thousand—and they still dominated the universe.

This alone proved how low the average combat level of early Universe 7 truly was.

More importantly, Bardock feared stagnation.

Saiyans who lived too peacefully would forget how to fight. Forget blood, fire, and the battlefield.

He would never raise his people like livestock.

To him, Saiyan Star was the cradle of the race.

The sea of stars was their true homeland.

Paragus could barely suppress his excitement. Many Saiyans—including himself—had already grown restless.

With no wars to fight, they were stuck sparring among themselves. They couldn't fight to the death, and growth had slowed dramatically.

"Your Majesty," Paragus asked, "what is our policy toward alien planets?"

Bardock answered without hesitation, his eyes cold.

"For civilized planets—submit or be destroyed."

"For undeveloped worlds: if the battle power is suitable, let the young monkey cubs train there."

"If the threat is too high, adult Saiyans will clear them out. After that, subordinate races will be sent to farm and breed."

"Yes!" Paragus responded firmly.

As Paragus left with visible excitement, Bardock shook his head with a faint smile.

"So popular already, huh…"

Meanwhile, Toma and his squad had just finished putting on the Glory Armor when a sharp pain pulsed through their heads.

A clear mechanical voice sounded:

"First-time use detected. Bloodline authentication successful. User confirmed as pure-blooded Saiyan. Bind brainwaves?"

"Bind!" Toma shouted without hesitation.

Instantly, the armor felt as if it fused with his very soul.

"Binding complete. Goodbye."

The voice self-destructed immediately—an anti-infiltration measure to prevent enemy tampering.

With a thought, Toma caused the helmet to shift, compressing into a sleek monocular lens.

He turned to his teammates. "Everyone finished binding?"

One Saiyan laughed excitedly. "Captain, this thing's insane! Those guys at the Research Institute finally did something right."

Toma snorted. "Hmph. They don't have brains like this. This was personally designed by His Majesty."

The others immediately understood.

"No wonder it's this good."

Green energy flared from the thrusters on their backs, lifting the five Saiyans smoothly into the air.

A new weapon demanded familiarization.

You didn't test equipment for the first time in real combat.

"Let's move," Toma ordered. "To the space launch center. We're catching Vegeta."

He accelerated instantly, vanishing from sight.

On Saiyan Star, private ships were stored at the launch center and maintained by subordinate races.

Within the planet itself, Saiyans had no need for vehicles—they could fly anywhere.

The others followed close behind.

"Captain, wait for us!"

"This speed's great—and it saves ki!"

Five figures streaked across the sky.

They landed on the vast plaza of the launch center, the impact making the ground tremble.

Two short alien technicians hurried over, trembling.

"H-honored Saiyan sirs… what are your orders?"

Toma waved them off impatiently. "Scram. Don't get in the way."

He pulled out a small remote from his waist and pressed it. His teammates did the same.

Inside the launch center, rows of spherical single-person spaceships activated simultaneously.

Five engines roared to life, spewing blue light as the ships shot skyward.

Toma and his team waited.

Seconds later, five brilliant white streaks returned, stopping neatly in front of them as the hatches opened.

As Toma stepped inside, blue Saiyan text appeared on his visor:

"Single-person spaceship detected. Bind?"

Confirmed.

"Hurry up," Toma ordered.

The others entered, and the hatches sealed automatically.

Five meteor-like streaks shot into space, vanishing into the vast universe.

The strongest nation had begun its advance.
