Even Ai Jiangtu, a veteran Military Mage, felt heavy-hearted at the sight before them.
Mu Nianbing didn't respond immediately. Instead, he raised his hand, his psychic energy extending outward to seize another Crimson Raptor Demon.
This one was slightly larger than the last but still not fully matured.
"Jiang Shaoxu, can you control it?" Mu Nianbing asked coldly, keeping the creature bound in midair.
Jiang Shaoxu instantly understood his intent and nodded. "I can try."
Under Jiang Shaoxu's spiritual control, the Crimson Raptor Demon flapped its wings and darted toward the sea, moving with astonishing speed.
"Xue'er, have you mastered Wings of Wind yet?" Mu Nianbing asked, glancing at Mu Ningxue.
Two and a half months ago, Mu Ningxue had already broken through to the Advanced Level in her Ice Element.
"Yes, I've basically mastered it," Mu Ningxue replied with a soft nod.
Her words left everyone stunned. Mu Ningxue—a dual-element Advanced Mage!
Her strength clearly ranked among the top three in the entire team, yet she was still only listed as a substitute.
It was no wonder Mu Nianbing had spoken so confidently during the team's assembly.
"Alright," Mu Nianbing said decisively. "You and I will go after it first. Ai Jiangtu, take the others and follow behind."
"Got it," Ai Jiangtu replied without hesitation. He trusted Mu Nianbing's strength completely.
After all, Ice Mages held a great advantage in aquatic environments—and Mu Nianbing's Ice Element was far beyond ordinary.
Even if they encountered an entire pack of Crimson Raptor Demons, Mu Nianbing could easily stall them until reinforcements arrived.
Separated from the others, Mu Nianbing and Mu Ningxue soared through the air.
With Mu Ningxue's help, their flight was swift and stable, soon reaching the shattered island.
As they descended, Mu Nianbing finally stepped out of Mu Ningxue's gentle hold.
Although being carried by a woman was slightly awkward, he didn't mind—it was his wife, after all, and her cool touch was strangely comforting.
"Mystic Ice Domain!"
The moment his feet touched the ground, Mu Nianbing activated his domain without hesitation.
A terrifying cold current erupted like a storm, sweeping across the entire island. Within seconds, everything in its path froze solid.
The freezing wave extended beyond the island, spreading into the surrounding sea.
In the blink of an eye, the shattered island was sealed in ice—and even the seawater around it had turned into a glacial plain.
Mu Ningxue's eyes widened in disbelief.
"What, are you stunned by my move?" Mu Nianbing teased lightly, wrapping an arm around her slender waist.
Instead of denying it, Mu Ningxue nodded, her silver hair fluttering in the icy wind.
Her Ice Soul Seed trembled faintly within her. It wasn't fear—but submission.
What she felt emanating from Mu Nianbing's Mystic Ice wasn't suppression... it was pure dominance.
Meanwhile, Ai Jiangtu and the others were closing in by ship.
As they approached, their eyes widened in shock.
The sea ahead was completely frozen over, and the shattered island had transformed into a massive, seamless field of ice.
"My god… is this really an Advanced spell?" Zhao Manyan gasped, his mouth agape.
In all his years, he had never witnessed such a sight.
The entire scene was breathtakingly spectacular—like a frozen kingdom emerging from the ocean itself.
Even Mu Tingying, who had been secretly resentful toward Mu Nianbing, found herself questioning her own eyes.
As an Ice Mage, she knew exactly how much power this required.
Even within the prestigious Mu Family, few Advanced Mages could produce something like this—and Mu Nianbing was barely her age!
"The front's completely frozen," Ai Jiangtu said gravely. "If we want to reach the island, we'll have to walk."
Under his command, everyone disembarked and began making their way across the thick ice.
If they had arrived any later, the Crimson Raptor Demons might have already been wiped out.
When they finally reached the center of the frozen island, they saw Mu Nianbing and Mu Ningxue standing amid a vast field of ice sculptures—each one a frozen Crimson Raptor Demon.
There were at least thirty of them, maybe more.
For the first time, the others truly grasped the destructive potential of the Ice Element.
They had always believed that Lightning and Fire possessed the greatest offensive power—but after witnessing this, that belief shattered.
Ice, when mastered to this degree, was equally lethal—perhaps even more so.
"...You're a bit late," Mu Nianbing said calmly, not even turning his head.
"The sea was frozen solid—we were delayed," Ai Jiangtu replied.
Mu Nianbing merely raised his fingers and snapped.
Crack!
The frozen Crimson Raptor Demons shattered into glittering fragments, scattering like dust in the cold wind. Not a single drop of blood remained.
Everyone stood speechless, awe etched across their faces.
If Mu Nianbing ever turned his power against them... they'd likely end up just like those demons.
They had once believed the gap between teammates in the National Team couldn't be that wide—but now, they understood how wrong they were.
"Search the island," Mu Nianbing ordered. "There might still be stragglers nearby."
Even though he had dealt with most of them, a few might have escaped. And once the ice began to thaw, they could cause more trouble.
Just as Ai Jiangtu and the others prepared to split into teams, a sudden red whirlwind burst from a distant cave—moving at incredible speed!
It darted across the frozen ground, heading straight for the sea.
Its target wasn't Mu Nianbing—but the ice itself.
It was trying to break through and escape!
This Scarlet Rift Demon was clearly intelligent. It knew it couldn't win, so it made the only choice it could—flee.
But Mu Nianbing didn't even flinch.
He simply raised his hand and clenched his fist.
Boom!
An enormous ice prison materialized from the sky, trapping the Scarlet Rift Demon within.
"Absolute Ice: Thousand Blades!"
Mu Nianbing's pupils turned icy blue as countless crystalline blades condensed above him.
They fell in a torrential storm, shredding the Scarlet Rift Demon into fragments within seconds.
Its armor-like hide—impervious to most Intermediate-level spells—was useless here.
Mu Nianbing's Mystic Ice Soul Seed, combined with the Snow Empress's blessing, made his power utterly inescapable.
"This…"
Ai Jiangtu's breath caught in his throat.
He recognized that spell—it was the same one Mu Nianbing had used when they sparred.
But the power this time... was on a completely different level.
