Garnak slowly withdrew his fist. The Lizardmen's leader lay motionless beneath him.

A diagonal line opened across the Lizardman's chest, and before the blood could even spray, a second cut crossed the first and formed a crimson X.
The lizardman widened its eyes, and before it could react, Uncle Zan had already slashed the third one.

It was a clean horizontal slash, and for a brief second, nothing happened.
Then the upper half of the Lizardman's body slid off. His corpse collapsed in two uneven halves.
Uncle Zan calmly flicked the blood off his blade.
