The command room erupted with activity, Espers and other agents springing into action.
"We won't let the Void take a single damn life," Wei Lin said, voice tense.
He turned to Ming Ji. "We have 10 minutes to find that thing and rip it apart before it hits Zone 7. **Can you do it?**"
**"Yes."** Ming Ji's voice was dark, determined. **"I can track and sever the bond."** He turned to Jin, eyes burning. "But I need your help."
Jin stared at him, heart pounding. "I'm with you," he said quietly—not as his lover, but as an ally against the Void.
Ming Ji's gaze softened—just for a moment. "Stick close," he said. "We'll need to get inside that thing's head. But when we do..." He paused. "You're about to see a side of me you've never seen before."
**"You ready?"**
