Chapter 31 - Chapter 31 Autumn

"Wanwan is late, Teacher Lin Feng. Wanwan is sorry," Su Wanwan said in a small, trembling voice as she finally arrived. 

Her chest rose and fell quickly from running, and fine beads of sweat clung to her forehead and the tip of her nose. 

Though she looked tired, there was a noticeable difference from yesterday… her face had more color, and her body no longer seemed frail or starved. 

She had eaten a full meal that morning, something she was still not used to, and had left early for the academy with great determination.

But no matter how early she left, her short legs simply couldn't move fast enough.

In the end, she was still late.

Su Wanwan lowered her head, her fingers twisting nervously at the hem of her clothes. 

She slowly lifted her eyes to look at Lin Feng, her gaze filled with anxiety and fear, as if she were about to cry at any moment. 

In her past, being late often meant punishment, scolding, or worse.
