"Is she okay?" Ning Xi asked in a hushed tone, mimicking Lin Feng's whisper.
"She is," Lin Feng replied calmly. "She's just tired and decided to rest here in the living room."
Ning Xi glanced between the two of them, clearly unconvinced, yet choosing for once not to press further.
The courtyard returned to silence, broken only by the soft rustling of leaves and the faint clink of porcelain as Lin Feng lifted his teacup once more.
Ning Xi noticed the faint glow surrounding Ye Jian's body and immediately assumed she was cultivating.
The steady breathing, the calm expression, the subtle spiritual fluctuations… it all pointed to a deep meditative state.
Convinced, Ning Xi nodded to herself, satisfied with her conclusion.
Then she noticed something else.
"What's that smell?" Ning Xi muttered, her nose twitching as a rich, unfamiliar fragrance drifted toward her.
