It was at this point I prayed for the ground to open up and swallow me because I never expected this.
My foolish leg put me in this dilemma and I felt so embarrassed but in an attempt to grab onto my last pride, I rolled from under the bed and came out before slowly getting up on my feet while fixing my dress without bothering to look at either of them because I could sense their intense gaze on me.
I gracefully touched my hair to see if it was messier than it already was and lifted my chin in pride before looking at Lauren who had stood up from kneeling on the floor in an attempt to see what had been under the bed.
He was appalled as he watched me with a scrutinizing gaze while Peculiar on the other hand looked stunned.
I am pretty sure she couldn't believe a queen could hide under a bed.
Thinking about it that way made me even more humiliated but I didn't give them that satisfaction.
