Chapter 123 - Chapter 123: Tracing the Suspects

Although the old butler himself was not 100% certain whether the dragon egg thief was a Kobold or not, clearly based on the traces left behind, the Kobolds held the greatest suspicion.

Normal animals that had not yet developed intelligence would wish they could take a detour to avoid the dragon egg out of instinctive fear; they basically could not actively steal the dragon egg in such a planned manner.

"What should we do now? Can we find traces of the Kobolds? Where would they take the egg?" Jasmine asked anxiously, her hands clenching tight.

Apart from that underground tunnel which had partially collapsed, they basically found no other footprints left by Kobolds on the ground around the camp. Even if she wanted to search, she didn't know which direction to look in amidst this vast forest and mountain.

The old butler stood up, dusted off his hands, and looked towards the towering Mount Black Dragon not far away, his gaze contemplative:
