Chapter 101 - Chapter 101: The Apology and the Invitation

Alex recalled the events of the previous night; Glen had ruthlessly used fire to incinerate two innocent souls right inside his new home, causing their souls to dissipate, forever unable to continue into the cycle of reincarnation.

His face darkened, the smoldering anger flaring up again, not wanting to pay any mind to this cold-blooded man.

He pretended not to hear Glen's words, treating him like air, walked straight past him, and took the keys out of his pocket, preparing to open the gate.

But this guy clearly did not realize Alex was repulsed by him, or was deliberately ignoring that attitude, keeping close and blocking his path.

"Alex, I'm here to apologize. I was a bit rash yesterday." He said this, his tone sounding remorseful, yet his shifty eyes looked past Alex's shoulder, staring intently into the house as if searching for something suspicious: "Why not invite me in for a cup of hot tea? We are neighbors, after all."
