The university library closes in two hours. I've been here since opening. Nine hours of digging through archives, old journals, anything that mentions the Sterling family.
Because I need to understand the curse. Need to find a way to stop it before it kills everyone I love.
The visions are getting worse. Every night now. Fire. Blood. Chase and Vivian destroying each other. Ethan caught in the crossfire. My mother collapsing. Everyone burning.
And I can't just watch it happen. Can't just accept that prophecy is inevitable.
There has to be a way to break it. Change it. Stop it.
I pull another box from the restricted section. The librarian gave me special access when I explained my thesis on folklore and curses. She thinks I'm writing an academic paper.
She doesn't know I'm trying to save lives.
