Synopsis
On the night the city was drowning in the worst rainstorm, my life was taken from me. I got home exhausted, soaked from the merciless downpour, ready to slip into something dry and comfortable and have a warm cup of tea. Instead, I find my front door open, my furniture destroyed and blood all over my freshly painted wall. My parents were nowhere to be seen. Trembling, I pull out my phone to call for help but a hand clamps over my mouth from behind. With voice low and cold, he whispered against my ear. “Where do you think you’re going? Your parents sold you for drug money. Didn’t they tell you? You’re mine now.” I shook my head. This isn’t possible. My parents are the most loving and responsible people I know. Something is wrong somewhere. Tears spilled down my cheeks, her heart slamming against my ribs as I slowly lift my eyes to meet the most beautiful gaze I’ve ever seen. He paused, tilts his head and stares as me as if I was the most interesting thing he’s ever seen. “Wait. I changed my mind.” a slow smile. “You might be….interesting.”
