Chapter 98 - Chapter 98: Eaten

Neraxis regained his footing, scanning the battlefield frantically. Where did he go?

A faint voice whispered behind him.

"Behind you."

ZZNGH! THUD! Yura slammed another yellow dash into him.

Neraxis grabbed Yura's arm, tearing it apart. Blood poured, a faint scream escaping Yura's lips. He slammed him into the ground, but Yura, relentless, regained his footing and dashed again. ZZNGH! THUD!

Absolute Motion… the thought echoed. Yura's movement was perpetual. Every dash, every step, only made him stronger. Exhaustion was meaningless. His endurance increased with every heartbeat. This was why he had mastered the highest level of Yellow Dash—something even Neraxis and Kael had never achieved. Laws that once bound all hunters shattered under his momentum.

Neraxis coughed blood, his heart faltering. "WhT…?!"

Another yellow dash—ZZNGH! THUD!—Yura slammed him back, sending debris flying in every direction. The battlefield fell eerily silent, the wind carrying only the echo of Neraxis' guttural breaths.

Noctyre's body lay on the ground. Yura moved forward, stopping beside him. In front of him, Neraxis had transformed—slime-like, red eyes wide with terror.

"Look what I said… I'd kill you." Yura muttered, staring into Neraxis' chaos-ridden form.

He lifted the slime Neraxis. "I don't want you to die… Not with so much negative emotion, so much power. Even before death, a powerful Vital Spirit could be born from you."

Yura tilted his head, a cold, calculating calm in his eyes. "So… I will eat you."

He swallowed the grotesque form, the slick, viscous body slipping down his throat. Black mirror-like veins glowed across Yura's body, pulsing as if absorbing Neraxis' essence, then faded. Yura exhaled sharply.

"Don't even think about controlling my body."
