Chapter 9 - TUTORIAL IV: REWARDS

"It's already over." Elias said out loud, the young man still in disbelief. When he realized it's truly over, he sighed in relief, before letting himself fall on his rear.

"Thank goodness that's over." He wiped his forehead, a reflexive action at this point. Not like it would do anything, with his avatar not sweating.

"There should be a reward of some kind, right?" The main reason why he fought the Human Puppet in the first place was because he thought it could be some sort of hidden challenge, with completion giving him rewards that help Jim progress faster in the game.

[Congratulations player Alisnair on being the first player to defeat Tutorial Hidden Boss: Human Puppet Ver. 1.

+100 Achievement Point

Players can now chose to either continue fighting through Tutorial Hidden Boss Challenge, or resume to the next tutorial.

Choice: Continue/ Skip]

"No other rewards?" He grumbled. Aside from the Achievement Point, a brand new point. He didn't know its uses, the same hold true for Knowledge Point, but he hoped it will help him in the future.

'Is it really worth the grind?' He couldn't help but think. The main reason he even fight the Human Puppet to the end was because he hoped he would earn something out of it.

'I'm already pick this path, might as well continue.' He pressed the continue option.

When he pressed continue, a chest appeared in front of him.

[Players who challenged the Tutorial Hidden Boss will be given a reward for each Ver, with the rewards corresponding to the damage players inflicted on the Boss, with the full reward for the Ver given to players who successfully defeated the Tutorial Hidden Boss.]

"Sure enough, there is a reward for doing this kind of thing," the weight on his shoulder flew away after the notice. At least his suffering will be rewarded.

[Players will be given an hour to rest and use the given rewards.

Countdown until Human Puppet Ver.2 : 59:59]

Elias looked at the chest with gleams in his eyes. The reason why he took on the challenge, even if he couldn't confirm it in the first place.

 "Let's see what's inside."

Opening the chest, Elias found 5 books, 6 crystals and one sword. Activating Observation, he looked at each item one by one.

[WEAPON SKILL

Weapon Skill is a specific Combat Skill for one type of weapon. A Sword Skill can only be used with a sword, a Spear Skill can only be used with a spear, etc.

Effect of Weapon Skill depends on players understanding and mastery of the Weapon Skill. Weapon Skill's effect can be improved by training the Weapon Skill.

To use Weapon Skill, Energy will be consumed, with the amount dependent on the power of Weapon Skill

Reminder: The amount of Energy any Weapon Skill uses will not be shown to the players. So, players should watch out their usage of Weapon Skill to be able to use it when players truly need to.]

[GRADE

Grade is used for everything, from weapons, items, manuals, to food, ???

Different level of Grades: ?? > ?? > Uncommon > Common]

"So, if I defeat the next Human Puppet, then I will get something that will improve my combat abilities then?" Elias guessed. As he thought about it further, he grew more certain he was correct. The Human Puppet will get stronger as he defeats more of them. Rewards that can help defeat the Human Puppet will make the challenge possible, while not making the players overpowered.

Though, he wondered if he was the only one who get an Uncommon Manual, or others who took on the challenge received the same thing as he did.

"Then, how about the crystals?" He take a look, and couldn't help but gasped.
