Chapter 59
The moment she was hugged, Ireena's face instantly flushed red.
Then she struggled out of Ye Yu's embrace, pouting as she sat down on the sofa.
She glared at Ye Yu with displeasure.
"Hmph! Your mind is full of unhealthy thoughts—behave yourself! I called you here to help me with something!"
Ye Yu completely ignored Ireena's glare and sat down beside her with a friendly smile.
"What do you need help with?"
Ireena helplessly glanced at the shameless Ye Yu and slowly explained the whole situation.
After listening, Ye Yu wrapped his arm around her shoulders again.
"I can help with this—but is there any reward?"
"No reward. Are you helping or not?"
Seeing Ireena glaring at him with wide eyes, Ye Yu felt she was even cuter.
A reward—if she won't give one, that doesn't mean he can't take it himself!
"Of course I'll help. Who made you my favorite Ireena?"
Hearing this, a hint of joy flashed in Ireena's heart. She closed her eyes smugly, arms crossed, head tilted upward proudly.
"Hmph, at least you know what's good for you. I… mmph…"
Suddenly she felt her mouth filled with a familiar warmth.
Her eyes widened—she saw Ye Yu's face, slightly intoxicated with pleasure.
This damn pervert! His mind is full of this stuff!
She tried to push him away, but her body felt strangely weak…
After a long kiss…
Ireena panted heavily, her face covered in blush.
Her body leaned powerlessly against Ye Yu's shoulder as she murmured softly.
"You hateful bastard…"
Ye Yu held Ireena's soft body, but suddenly turned his head to the side.
"Victorica-neesan, you're back!"
Ireena jolted in surprise and hurriedly stood up.
She saw her mother standing nearby, smiling warmly at her.
Her hands were still organizing the ingredients she had just bought. Then she spoke slowly:
"I got off work early today, so I bought some ingredients. Little Ye Yu, why don't you try sister's cooking today?"
Ireena's face turned completely red. She looked at Victorica in disbelief.
"Mom… when did you come back?!"
Victorica thought for a moment, then looked at Ireena with perfect innocence.
"I came back right when you two started kissing. But you looked so into it, so I didn't want to disturb you! Next time, remember to close the door properly—otherwise bad people might come in!"
Ireena felt her mentality collapsing. There was no way to explain this now.
What followed next made Ireena feel like she was sitting on pins and needles.
At the dinner table, Ye Yu and Victorica chatted happily.
Ye Yu praised her cooking, Victorica complimented his sweet words.
Then they started talking about Ireena's childhood stories, and subtly inquired about Ye Yu's family background.
Watching her mother look at him like a mother-in-law sizing up her son-in-law, Ireena could only silently eat.
"So when are you two planning to get married? This year or next year?"
"That depends on Ireena's opinion. I respect whatever she wants!"
Hearing the conversation reach this point, Ireena could no longer hold back.
"Enough!!"
She stood up abruptly and grabbed Ye Yu's hand.
"I'm done eating—let's go!"
Ireena felt that if she stayed any longer, she might actually suffocate!
"I haven't finished eating yet!"
Ye Yu still wanted to chat more with his future mother-in-law, but Ireena glared at him with a dark expression.
"I think you're already finished!"
Then Ye Yu was dragged out by Ireena.
"Ireena, this is really rude to your mother—I didn't even finish her delicious food!"
"Shut up!"
Hearing Ye Yu's shameless words, Ireena gave a low shout.
Without another word, she pulled Ye Yu's hand and headed toward the nearby bus stop.
It was rush hour—workers getting off work—so the bus was packed.
As soon as they got on, the carriage filled up completely.
Ireena frowned and unconsciously pressed closer to Ye Yu.
"Don't you know magic? Why didn't you just teleport us here?"
Ye Yu smiled faintly, then directly pulled Ireena into his embrace.
"You didn't ask me—you just dragged me onto the bus."
This time Ireena didn't struggle, instead resting peacefully in Ye Yu's arms.
Half an hour later, the two finally arrived at the park where the incident occurred.
Ireena held Ye Yu's hand and walked a short distance, stopping at the edge of a small grove on the south side of the park.
"This is the place the client mentioned—she used to take care of stray cats here."
Ye Yu looked carefully and indeed saw small bowls for cat food and a water dish.
"Our mission is to find the scumbag who abused the cats and hand him over to the police!"
Though Ireena was slightly allergic to cats, she still liked small animals deep down.
She felt extreme hatred toward this kind of scum.
"Do you have any clues? We can't just wait here like sitting ducks, right?"
Ye Yu teased her.
Ireena's face flushed—she really had no leads.
That's why she had thought this was a terrible commission before.
If not for thinking Ye Yu's magic could help, and also using it as an excuse to talk to him properly, she wouldn't have accepted.
"Hmph! I called you here to solve the problem. If I already knew everything, what would I need you for?"
Looking at the tsundere Ireena, Ye Yu wasn't the type to spoil children.
He pulled her close and directly lifted her up.
His right hand supported her back, while his left placed her legs around his waist.
Feeling her body rise, Ireena instinctively wrapped her arms around Ye Yu's neck.
Her legs hooked around his waist.
"Are you crazy? Put me down right now!"
Ireena looked at the people coming and going, her face turning bright red.
Thinking of how ambiguous this position looked to others, she felt utterly mortified.
Did this man have no shame at all?
"Don't worry—they can't see us."
Only then did Ireena remember—back at the restaurant, when Ye Yu held her hand, no one else could see her.
"Even so, you can't… mmph…"

With a flushed face, Ireena stomped hard on Ye Yu's foot.
"I must be insane to think of asking you for help!"
But this little action didn't cause Ye Yu the slightest pain.
Ye Yu affectionately ruffled her hair, then smiled at Ireena.
"I've already thought of how to help you complete the mission. Do you want my help?"
Ireena glared at him poutily, then muttered one word softly.
"Yes."
Ye Yu smiled faintly and gently extended his left hand.
A blue magic circle began to form.
In Ireena's shocked gaze, a ferocious-looking small wolf appeared before her.
"You… what is this??"
"Alright, now take me to where the cats were buried."
