Chapter 19 - The Whole Nation Stunned. An E-rank Chest!!

News of Raven Shaw killing an E-rank monster in a single strike spread like wildfire.

The higher-ups in the Eastern Isles and Miracle Nation, who'd been glued to Dragon Nation's stream, were completely dumbfounded.

In their "script," the outcome was supposed to be obvious:

The E-rank beast tears the two of them apart—

Dragon Nation collapses—

and everyone else swoops in to carve up the remains.

So why the hell wasn't it playing out that way?!

Does reality have any respect for the script?!

"This is impossible! That hide couldn't even be pierced by a grenade—what kind of weapon is that?!"

"Why isn't a weapon like that in our competitors' hands?!"

"We have to find a way to take it!"

No matter how much they refused to believe it, reality left no room for denial.

The balding, heavyset man at the head of the Eastern Isles' meeting room spoke with a dark expression:

"Move. Activate the plan. Get our orders to our competitors—now."

"My lord… you mean—"

"What else would I mean?! Full priority: eliminate Dragon Nation's competitors! I want Dragon Nation wiped off the board!"

"…Understood!"

Miracle Nation's upper echelon made the same call—issuing a kill order against Dragon Nation's team the moment they recovered from the shock.

While those two countries quietly set their knives, I'm Watching the Divine Domain also erupted with discussion.

Captain Cole eyed Raven Shaw's blade with clear interest.

"The Combat Saber is one of our country's proudest cold weapons. And the one in Raven Shaw's hand? Even in the military, it would count as top-tier—top of the top. More importantly, her technique is extremely refined. She's not an amateur."

Sienna Blake teased with a smile. "Oh? So Captain Cole is a combat saber expert too?"

"Heh. 'Expert' is too much. I know a bit."

Dr. Hart chimed in thoughtfully.

"That blade is probably more than just 'top-tier.' If it can break through defense even a grenade couldn't… calling it a divine weapon wouldn't be an exaggeration."

Sienna Blake and Captain Cole both nodded.

And right on cue, Derek Vaughn couldn't resist forcing his presence into the conversation.

"At the end of the day it's still a cold weapon. If you run into firearms, no matter how sharp it is, it won't matter. And honestly, giving a blade like that to a woman is kind of a waste—"

The backlash hit instantly.

The chat detonated.

"Say that again? You looking down on women?"

"I swear even the cleaning auntie downstairs has more class than you."

"Never thought I'd live to see the day I get looked down on by this kind of guy…"

"Don't insult 'that kind of guy,' thanks."

As always, most viewers still insisted Raven Shaw's win was "all because of the blade," refusing to accept that she herself might be terrifying.

After all, with her tall, slender frame, she didn't look strong to them.

But Raven Shaw didn't know—nor would she care even if she did.

Right now, what truly stole everyone's attention wasn't public opinion.

It was the Will of Blue Star.

Because—

that was an E-rank Chest.

A chest at a level nobody had ever opened before.

Compared to F-, it wasn't just "a little better."

It was a completely different tier of reward.

Miracle Nation's team had opened a mere F- Chest and already received an absurd boost.

So what would an E-rank Chest give?

Nobody could even imagine it.

Then the Will of Blue Star spoke again.

[Detected: Points Leaderboard update.]

[Changes as follows—]

[Rank #1: Dragon Nation — 1300]

[Rank #2: Miracle Nation — 200]

[All others omitted — 0]

Everyone froze.

1300 points?!

They already had 100 from the earlier discovery.

So killing one E-rank monster… granted 1200?!

That meant they'd crossed the 1000-point threshold—

which meant a weekly chest could be upgraded once.

And if Dragon Nation stayed #1, their guaranteed weekly chest was already D+ Chest.

Upgrade it once with +1000 points?

That would jump it to C- Chest.

What kind of reward came out of that?

No one knew.

But any talk about point math got drowned out immediately—

because on-screen,  Adrian Vale and Raven Shaw finally opened the E-rank Chest.

The chat went feral.

"YES!! Loot time again!!"

"I wasn't this nervous when my kid was born!"

"What's it going to be… what's it going to be…?!"

"I'm offering ten years of being single for a legendary pull!"

"Bro, congrats—your ten years are LOCKED IN!"

"COME ON!! GOLD!! LEGENDARY!!"

And then—

the chest burst open with blinding golden light, just like before.

So bright it made people squint and curse.

A moment later, the chest dissolved into glowing particles and vanished.

The Will of Blue Star announced the result.

[Congratulations! Dragon Nation competitor  Adrian Vale has opened an E-rank Chest and obtained—]

[Black Reaper]
