"SHK!! SHK!! SHK!!"
No matter what, an A-rank creature like the Giant Thousand-Handed Centipede was on a completely different level from anything Adrian Vale had faced before.
Against Adrian's bizarre footwork, it didn't retreat even half a step—
countless insect legs stabbed out like a storm, launching a ferocious barrage!
But—
"SHK!! SHK!! SHK!!"
No matter how violently those legs lashed out…
they still couldn't touch Adrian at all!
"Heh… heh… heh…"
In the middle of such an intense exchange, Adrian actually let out a cold laugh.
That sent a chill through the centipede.
This human…!
What the hell is wrong with this human?!
"SHK!! SHK!! SHK!!"
As Adrian twisted and shifted, blood sprayed down like rain.
It was…
Adrian's blood.
That's right—two massive holes punched through his body earlier were still pouring out blood.
Yet Adrian acted like he couldn't feel a thing.
Does this human… not feel pain at all?!
"Heh… heh… heh…"
Another cold laugh. The centipede grew even more irritated, anger boiling up.
"Human!!"
Its attacks sped up again, reaching a crazier peak.
"SHK!! SHK!! SHK!!"
And still… it couldn't hit him.
At this point, it finally understood.
Earlier, when Adrian got "heavily injured"—
it wasn't because he couldn't dodge.
It was because…
he let it happen.
Humiliation detonated inside it.
It was an A-rank creature—when had it ever been treated like this?!
This feeling…
was like everything was under Adrian's control—
and it was just some toy for him to play with whenever he felt like it.
Ridiculous!!
But Adrian didn't care.
Sometimes, the human mind was funny.
Just like earlier with Nolan Mercer—
watching the other side struggle desperately while achieving nothing…
for some reason, Adrian found it amusing.
It felt like watching a newborn kitten try to bite you.
No teeth. No damage. But it still goes all-out—
and the stubbornness almost makes you smile.
That was exactly it.
Even an A-rank creature like the Giant Thousand-Handed Centipede…
looked like a helpless kitten in Adrian's eyes.
So weak.
So laughable.
"Heh…"
Adrian's cold laugh rang out again.
The viewers were stunned.
"Isn't this the first time we've seen Foodie Adrian actually fight for real?!"
"Why does he feel like a totally different person in combat… kinda… unhinged?"
"Unhinged? This is straight-up creepy…"
"And did you hear what he said earlier? Who's eating who here?!"
"Is this… his real face?"
"Man… I feel bad for Adrian. What did he go through to become like this…"
"Damn it… I'm getting emotional too!!"
Adrian, of course, didn't know any of that.
Back on the battlefield—
It was like he'd finally "warmed up."
The constantly dodging figure suddenly changed.
He stopped just evading and began to push forward!
"SHK!!"
He charged into the storm of legs—
forcing his way closer!
"SHK!! SHK!! SHK!!"
The insect legs were so dense it looked impossible to dodge.
And yet, Adrian slipped through it all, unharmed, closing the distance bit by bit.
The centipede felt genuine fear.
To everyone watching, Adrian's movement looked like a glitched frame—
every time an attack should've hit… he somehow didn't get hit.
It even looked like he didn't dodge.
But only the centipede knew—
none of its attacks had actually touched him.
Soon—
Adrian was right in front of it.
His hand was already ruined—
like torn cloth, no longer even resembling a hand.
And still, his expression didn't change.
The centipede kept mocking him:
"So overconfident, human… heh heh heh… what—?!"
Before it could finish—
it saw something it would never forget.
Guh… chrrk… guh!
A disgusting sound came from Adrian's body.
All his damaged parts began regenerating at a speed visible to the naked eye.
Not just his hand—
even the two holes pierced through his torso began to seal rapidly.
The centipede froze.
So did the entire live audience.
Inside I Watch the Divine Domain—
Sienna Blake covered her mouth, eyes wide.
"My god… this healing… this is impossible!!"
Dr. Elias Hart almost laughed in disbelief.
"Sienna, at this point, you're still talking about 'science'?"
She choked—because he was right.
Nothing about the Divine Domain could be explained by science anymore.
Captain Ryan Cole exhaled a short laugh, then turned serious.
"How he got these abilities… it's a complete mystery."
Silence.
Then Sienna suddenly shouted:
"Look! Adrian's moving again!!"
Back on screen—
Adrian shot forward again!
The centipede reacted instantly, legs stabbing down.
"Human!! You can't defeat me!!"
But as always—
it couldn't touch him.
In a blink, Adrian was under its belly again.
"Hmph! So what if you got close?!" the centipede sneered.
Adrian answered with a ruthless side kick.
BOOM!!
The impact was terrifying. Even a monster this huge staggered back several steps.
But—
its defense still didn't break.
Instead—
Adrian's right leg snapped at an impossible angle.
Horrifying.
And yet Adrian didn't even flinch.
The centipede laughed, thrilled.
"I LOVE this look on you—powerless, but still refusing to give up! It gets me high!!"
Adrian replied calmly:
"Oh? Is that so?"
And his mangled leg regenerated again in seconds.
Now the centipede thought it had figured it out.
This human had speed and healing—
but no attack power that could pierce its armor.
In other words—
Adrian could only hurt himself.
So it could extend this "game" forever.
It grinned maliciously.
"Those other humans were boring… they broke too fast."
"But you?"
"With that healing…"
"You can play with me for a very, very long time… heh heh heh…"
Adrian ignored it and inspected his recovered limbs.
The centipede continued:
"Want to play a game?"
"I've got so many legs, it gives me a headache."
"How about you count them for me?"
Before the words even ended—
it launched a sudden sneak attack.
"SHK!! SHK!! SHK!!"
But even that couldn't touch Adrian.
The centipede's irritation spiked.
"Human! Are you only good at dodging?!"
Right then—
as if answering the question—
Adrian's body accelerated violently.
He closed the distance instantly—face-to-face.
Then—
BAM!! BAM!! BAM!! BAM!!
A rapid combo—hooks, straights, body blows—
clean, brutal, and fast.
Viewers couldn't even see his fists clearly—only afterimages and bursts of sound.
"My god! Foodie Adrian's martial arts are this insane too?!"
"That combo would fold anyone!!"
"It looks even fiercer than Boss Raven fighting that B+ monster!"
"But… it still can't break the armor?!"
Yes.
The defense still held.
Instead, Adrian's fists ruptured again—blood and torn flesh—then began knitting back together mid-motion.
The centipede mocked him:
"Still not giving up, human?!"
A leg stabbed down from above.
Adrian retreated explosively, slipping out of range.
The centipede stared at Adrian's ruined hands and laughed.
"Speed and healing—are those your only strengths?"
"When your stamina runs out… the real game begins."
"I can't wait to watch you beg."
Meanwhile — Raven Shaw
On another feed, Raven Shaw faced a Thousand-Handed Centipede as well.
Earlier, her attacks hadn't done much either.
But now—
Raven had activated Cell Burn.
Her aura erupted, crushing everything around her—
then suddenly pulled inward like a thunderclap swallowed by night.
The centipede sneered:
"That's it? Human??"
Raven chuckled lightly.
Then—
SHK!!
She moved like lightning.
In an instant, she was in front of it—so fast it couldn't even react.
For a split second, some viewers swore they heard a shrill, dramatic suona in their ears—
BOOM!!
Raven's punch smashed into its massive body.
The shockwave punched through it and erased everything behind it—
rocks, trees—obliterated.
That was only the overflow.
The centipede's insides were shredded.
And its thirty-to-forty-meter body…
was sent flying.
The world went silent.
"WHAT?!"
"One punch did THAT?!"
"Boss Raven is INSANE!!"
"She's even scarier than Foodie Adrian…"
"Dragonia's contestants are NOT HUMAN!!"
Back to Adrian — The Door Opens
Adrian finally seemed ready to stop "testing."
He shook his ruined hands.
Guh… chrrk… guh!
In front of everyone's terrified eyes, his hands twisted with bone-cracking sounds, reorganized, and recovered in an instant—
not only healed, but seeming… tougher.
Only now did people realize—
Adrian wasn't just "scratching" the centipede.
He was warming up.
And strengthening his body through repeated breaking and regeneration.
He cracked his fingers, tilted his neck, rolled his shoulders—
like someone about to start a real workout.
Yes—
everything earlier… was just warmup.
He knew his attacks weren't breaking the armor.
He still did it anyway.
Because having absurd power but living in a peaceful world—
never truly pushing your body—
felt like rust.
Now, finally, he could enjoy it.
As for Nolan Mercer?
He didn't even qualify.
Adrian glanced at the centipede, expression turning strange.
"…You want to play games too?"
His eyes flicked toward Nolan's "remains," then back up—voice calm, sharp as a blade:
"Alright then, little bug."
"I'll ask you something too."
"1000 minus 7… what's the answer?"
CHRRK—!!
A brutal sound burst from behind him.
Dark red erupted—
Four Rinkaku unfurled, whipping through the air like demon claws, flooding the battlefield with violent pressure.
Then—
CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!
Two additional Kagune emerged—segmented, heavy, and vicious.
A centipede shape.
A centipede shadow.
Under the dead sky—
Adrian looked like the Black Reaper descending.
No.
Even worse than that.
This was—
Half-Kakuja: Centipede.
And in that moment, Adrian's ghoul form—and his Half-Kakuja state—were exposed to the entire world for the first time.
Ghoul Adrian Vale — Half-Kakuja: Centipede
VS
Divine Domain A-Rank Creature — Thousand-Handed Centipede!!
