Tyler POV
With its reptilian, red eyes the sea beast glared at me. I'd heard a lot about these sea creatures but I never encountered one before. My heart stopped beating for a second. I started to sweat a lot.
The sea beast opened its mouth wide and a ball of blue energy started to form in its mouth. After reaching at least two times my size, it fired a beam straight at me. I jumped, and I rose three metres into the air. Without any time to wonder how I did that, I fell into the sea.
My boat had been destroyed by the blast, and I started to drown. As I flailed in the water I thought about the fact that even though I knew how to swim I was still drowning.
Then I remembered two words both Aveola and Metalhand said:
…So you have a Devil Fruit, eh?…
…You ate my Devil Fruits!…
I came to the realisation that the power of the Devil fruit was making changes in my body, like taking away my ability to swim. I climbed on one of the large wooden scraps left of the boat. I stood there, gasping for breath, while the sea beast turned to face my direction.
I needed to figure out how to harness and use my Devil Fruit powers, and I still wonder how Junior could do it. My guess was that his overwhelming urge to protect me was what allowed him to use his power.
But I had nothing to think about to help me use my powers. All my life I'd never had anyone to protect me or care for me. My father sold me seven years ago, when I was only nine. The only person who really cared about me was Junior, but we weren't really friends— just close companions, chore allies.
At least I had to try. As the sea beast looked at me with death burning in its eyes, it slithered forward, much faster than expected. I jumped up high into the air again, but this time, the sea beast lunged upwards. I saw a slimy pink maw enlarge around me, and as it closed with walls of jagged canines arranged on it, everything went dark.

Tyler POV
I woke up sprawled in the mouth of the sea beast and I was so close to its throat that it seemed to be sucking me in. I scrambled from the food pipe and sat on the beast's tongue. From what I heard and felt, the sea beast was on the move, probably looking for a boat to terrorise.
I sat in there thinking of a plan to get out of there when suddenly the sea beast's mouth suddenly started to get hotter. Its mouth opened and I got up to run, only to see that a ball of blue energy was forming in the beast's mouth. If I jumped out now, I would be fried to a crisp.
After the beast fired a blast to some random ship, I had a plan. I jumped and held on to the creature's uvula and swung back and forth about six or seven times and let go, flinging me forward and helping me to smash into his tooth. A second later, I was standing on a marine boat near an island.
It was a sloop [SEE IMAGE HERE].
I rushed to the cannons and loaded one. I had seen Aveola do this a lot of times so the movements came gracefully. Load the cannon, light the fuse, BOOOM!!!
The cannonball sailed into the air and it slammed straight into the sea beast's belly. It created an explosion and when the smoke cleared the sea beast had a hole in its belly but it wasn't enough to kill it.
Suddenly it lunged forward, grabbed me in its teeth and started to bite down into my flesh. Then I feel a surge of energy flowing through my body. I felt the beast loosen his grip, and I took the chance. I rolled from its mouth and gave it an uppercut. The beast sailed back a few metres then fell in the sea. I started to fall into the sea.
I expected to fall into the water, but then I landed, standing on the surface of the water. There were orange flames surrounding where I was standing on the sea. I suspected it was the power of the Devil Fruit I ate. Anyway, I dashed forward towards the sea beast and jumped high. The beast roared…
…and I pierced through the sea beast's hide with my fist, which had orange flames around it. With that the sea beast's lifeless body sunk into the sea, splattering the water with blood. I suddenly lost my hyperactive state and stumbled. I although managed to muster enough strength to get in the boat and sail to the nearest island.

??? POV
I had just been calmly walking at the shore of the island, and I saw a boy in a marine ship firing a cannon at an arousing sea beast. The sea beast then tried to gobble him up but then the boy was ablaze and strangely defeated the beast.
After I saw the guy starting to sail toward the shore I recognised him as the boy in the paper the town received not long ago, saying he had led in the assassination of Marine Captain Metalhand from a nearby island. I decided to make a move and headed toward the marines' base in our island.
