Angeline's face looked less worried after Andrew's comment. A simple promise of having her privacy and being trusted had won her over to Andrew's side.
She was ready to follow Andrew, but the others around her had a different thought process and looked much less keen to see her leave.
"Ange, do not go. Who would protect us from the danger if you are gone as well? Maybe we should send someone else…"
The refugees tried to make their pseudo-leader change her mind, but Angeline shook her head.
"No. I feel like I have to be the one to go. As for your safety… you still have your abilities. And you should be safe as long as you are in the base. I will try to make my way back to you all soon."
She promised before she joined Andrew and Clara, and they headed out.
The second they stepped out of the safe base's barrier, the air around them changed and started to become cold and hostile. The presence of monsters was sharp in the air, and the only question was 'when would they attack.'
