Chapter 4 - Chapter 4. Do you Feel anything

Ehzia and Zaril'n kept walking the rocky red lands in silence. The demons didn't follow.

" Well I'm not sure where we're going," Ehzia admitted breaking the silence.

" Where were you going?" asked Zaril'n curious.

" Well I'm looking for my wife, but I don't think she's on this floor….I don't feel her," said Ehzia looking at Zaril'n.

" Do you want to go to the second floor?" asked Zaril'n most eager to help.

" Yes why certainly young Zaril'n, but I think it's going to be a long travel," said Ehzia remembering how long it took to reach the first floor.

" No it's not let's go," Zaril'n said happily tugging Ehzia.

Ehzia was a bit surprised getting yanked, but he did not complain happily getting pulled along. Soon they reached a stream of lava and Ehzia could feel his skin on fire.

" Dalvvar!" screamed Zaril'n cupping his hands to his mouth.

Ehzia watched amused as to what the young demon was doing.

" Just to ask Zaril'n, what are we doing here?" asked Ehzia intrigued, but he wanted to leave as the heat was far too much for him.

" Wait a bit Mister,"

It didn't take long for the lava to bubble and rise higher, while Ehzia was brave he wasn't too amused to stand near a river of lava. Ehzia watched as a creature then emerged from the lava as it dripped off his skin. It was remarkably huge, but beautiful and looked terrifying.

" Zaril'n," thundered the creature's voice.

" Hello Dalvvar!"

" What'sss that you want?" asked Dalvvar sipping his s.

" We want to get to the second floor,"

" Issss that a human?"

" Yes this is Mr. Ehzia he's my friend," Zaril'n introduced.

" Oh. A human in demon's hell,"

Ehzia had his eyes on this remarkable creature, one that he had never seen nor hear stories about. Ehzia could only wonder in what time of human existence did these creatures came forward, and were they being used to fight humans? What terror that must bring.

But one thing Ehzia had to admit, this creature was magnificently beautiful.

" And you want him to travel on me," while this sounded like a question it wasn't.

"Yes!" exclaimed Zaril'n with great glee.

" No,"

" huh? But why?"

" He'ssss human,"

" Oh," responded Zaril'n with disappointment.

" hmm, it's ok Zaril'n, I doubt I should be riding such a magnificent being to begin with," spoke Ehzia trying to cast the little demon's disappointments away.

" But it'll take a very long time to cross floors,"

" That's alright, patience is key," smiled Ehzia and Zaril'n smiled back.

In that very moment the lava erupted as another figure rose high. The lava splashed out, seeming it coming Zaril'n and Ehzia tried getting away, when the lava stopped mid air turning to rocks then fell. Zaril'n knew it must had been Dalvvar's doing.

" Zaril'n!!! Hello! It'ss been a while right! How are you? Still bothering you're human are you, who's that? Never mind that what are you doing here?" asked another lava dragon in one breath, he was barely sipping his s as he was talking so fast.

He has similar built to Dalvvar, but this one seemed have more control with facial muscles as expressions could be seen. He was just as tall with brighter colors of saffron and marigold.

" Sadden!" exclaimed Zaril'n suddenly looking brighter.

A small grunt was heard and Ehzia realized it was from Dalvvar.

" I'm doing well, not I'm not bothering him and this is the human his name is Mr. Ehzia, I'm going to the second floor," answered Zaril'n equally fast.

" Hoho really? Great! Bet old Dalvvar won't be of any help ehh, I'll take you if you want, of course you want, do you want," spoke Sadden at great speed again.

"Thank you Sadden, Ehzia is coming too, can you bring him?"

" The human? Haha of course not. Can't have him on my scales, but since it's you asking I'll take him, he has to be on my back though, are you ready? I don't like this though, but I'll just make an exception this once, maybe I could dip him in the lava and see what happens! Haha! But I won't since he's yours Zaril'n! What time are you leaving?"

" Right now,"

" Haha, right, I do not like this," thought Ehzia with an loud internal scream.

" Great! Now let'sss g-"

" I'm already taking Zaril'n and the human,"

spoke Dalvvar finally as he cut Sadden off.

" Yes! This one looks sensible," exclaimed Ehzia internally happy.

" Oh really? You Dalvvar? You're bringing a human, how strange, that's odd, you barely let demons ride you and you're bringing a human, that's okay anyways are you leaving now then? Zaril'n help your human up,"

Dalvvar sighed already feeling tired. Ehzia watched from the side. The dragon called Sadden spoke so quickly he had a hard time keeping track of his speech.

Dalvvar moved closer to the rocky edge so Zaril'n and Ehzia could climb on. Zaril'n did so with great joy, while Ehzia climbed with care and reconsideration. They pushed off from where they were and it was a chatty trip.

" You know Zaril'n last night I was out swimming and then- oh wait before that two nights before- wait something just touched my tail, I'm really hungry, aren't you hungry Zaril'n, well I mean you must be, cause why wouldn't you,"

Dalvvar had no interest of trying to understand Sadden's words and Ehzia' couldn't keep up even when trying, the only one who understood was Zaril'n, he nodded, smiled or used words when being responsive.

What a long travel it was and what incessant chatter it was filled with, those were the only words that occupied Dalvvar's mind. At one moment Dalvvar started to submerge himself into the lava thinking if most of his body was unseen then he would hear less chatter.

Ehzia watched as the lava came closer and he couldn't help but have his heart switch in a rolling thunder, he did not speak. Ehzia took a quick look at Zaril'n who was still chattering away to Sadden. Did he not notice or feel the heat? But then Ehzia thought he was a demon after all, a demon in his homeland so maybe the lava doesn't bother him as much.

Soon the space left was about six meters wide, on all sides were lava.

" Hmm?" thought Zaril'n suddenly as he turned around with a wondering expression. He looked at Ehzia' who looked calm, but on edge at the same time. He then noticed the surrounding lava.

" Ahh Dalvvar you're too deep in," noted Zaril'n in a not so loud voice.

Dalvvar grunted the lava bubbling below, he then slowly rose up and Ehzia felt relieved.

After about eight long hours they finally reached their destination. Ehzia hopped off first, never had he missed having his feet on ground before. Zaril'n thanked the two dragons. He then stretched his hand out and Dalvvar moved himself closer where Zaril'n happily rubbed his head. He moved away staring at the little demon.

Ehzia watched the scene unfold, it was calming. Suddenly it was broken.

" Zaril'n! Zaril'n! Zaril'n me too! I was with you guys remember, I kept you all company, do you remember that time I came with you too," started Sadden with continuous chatter without break.

Hearing this Dalvvar face harden and then he dove off.

" Dalvvar!" called Sadden stunned.

Zaril'n had his hand out to rub Sadden's head too, but when Sadden saw Dalvvar diving off Sadden only took a quick touch on his head, one quicker than a second and dived after Dalvvar.

" Yoo! Dalvvar! Dalvvar! Wait!" shouted Sadden in pursuit.

Both Zaril'n and Ehzia watched the scene in silence before breaking out into laughter. They turn around. The sight before them was not very different from the first floor, the only difference were the rocks looking taller and the demons were stronger.

" This is the second floor Mr. Ehzia, do you feel anything?"
