They approached openly, making no further effort to hide their presence. The three seals continued their work, moving barrels from one location to another.
"Excuse me," Lumi called out. "We're with the Unified Mora Council, investigating some irregularities. Could we see your identification?"
The seals stopped simultaneously, turning to face them. For a moment, there was silence. Then the lead seal opened its mouth, producing a neutral voice. "Here is our identification." They produced papers from their bag, passing them over.
Ah, robots, then.
The voice was distinctively seal-like, and that was exactly the evidence of them being robots.
Otherwise, there would also be the possibility of these being humans in disguise. But seals had a distinctiveness to their voice that just wouldn't be replicated by even skilled actors.
